New Girl

Anyone watching this? A mate recommended it and I'm just wondering if it's worth it, as he has the complete Felicity boxset, and may just be a gay.

Yes. It's funny. I put it on last night having seen the advert 300 times. It's funny, and very enjoyable to watch. Do it.

I think Zooey is gorgeous, so it might be worth it. I've not seen it though, so don't blame me if it's awful.

I sort of might consider respecting you one day, Liam, so I'm going to download it. But I'm going to need another yay before I actually watch it. No offence, but how do I know you're not cracking into Felicity - Season 2 as we speak?

I don't watch it, I've just wanted to use that joke for a while. I'm only aware of it because the wife watches it. I don't watch any network shows. I quite like Ax Men and stuff like Wheeler Dealers but I just can't be arsed with sitcoms.

I agree.

Ha, we're fat and that's soooo funny.

I really don't see the appeal. You'd think Americans have never seen a fat person.

I appreciate that.

And I've never even heard of Felicity.

Yeah, but there's a difference between eating caviar and some shit on a stale cracker.

I watched it (it's on a break at the moment, I think). It's all right but it gives the game up far too early, you know what's on the cards after the first episode. Has shown enough for me to keep going.

The Cici one in it is ridiculously hot.

I'm a little bit in love with Zooey (stupid fucking name) Deschanel so I'm going to have to give this a view. Hopefully it's tolerable

It's good. I really like all the characters, which is important. Although two problems with it is that her character doesn't seem to quite fit her appearance. The second is that hit doesn't seem to have an obvious direction for the storyline.

Like with HIMYM you have Ted meeting 'the mother'. Scrubs has JD and Elliot and on a smaller scale Turk and Carla. Friends had Ross and Rachel, then Monica and Chandler, then Rachel and Joey. TBBT has Leonard and Penny.

I might just be missing something though.

The first few episodes were meh. It's gotten a lot better since the wedding episode though. They've made Jess much less over the top quirky and figured out how to handle the supporting cast.

Very average show, the only positive is Zooey Deschanel being extremely attractive.

Well I can report it was tolerable, these type of shows are never great initially they're just growers, it's easy watching so I'll probably continue to watch it.

There's doesn't seem to be any decent series around anymore, I only watch House religiously and that's on a break every second fucking week. Gone back to my failsafes of Partridge/ Red Dwarf/ Black Adder

After 1 and a half episodes, the only character I liked was Coach, so I am sad he appears only in the first episode and then is gone.

They should have reshot the pilot

true that rcoobc. How did they just change the "negrito" after the pilot!? Damn racists!

This series would go up there with "filler" series for me - something I'd only watch if I was bored and I got it for free. Fun, but definitely nothing spectacular.

U watch Modern Family brophs? I'd highly reccomend that.

First episode was really good, second good, this weeks at the wedding was a bit shit and kind of predictable. And yes Zoey Deschanel Those eyes.

Watched this last night as I was dropping off to sleep after work. Mildly amusing, nothing more but worth a watch if you're not going out and there is nothing else on to watch.

Fit bird though!

He's on Happy Endings.

Both New Girl and Happy Endings, got picked up last season, I guess he choose to stay with Happy Endings. Plus he's Damon Wayans' son.

Did you end up watching it? One of the funniest programmes on TV, and Schmidt is one of the funniest characters on TV, love it.

This is true. But anyway this show is ok, basically a show that you won't follow religiously for every episode, but also one you would not mind seeing if it is on. Some of its good episodes can be pretty funny. I find it funnier than Happy endings anyway, a show where episode just screams friends rehash at me.

Watched this up until episode 11. Becoming a really good show. Schmidt is the new Barney Stenson.

Watched it up until about episode 11 myself actually, can't believe I watched it for that long looking back...it's a women's show, not a particularly good one either.

This says to me it's exactly like every other sitcom then. Friends, Big Bang, HIMYM, Scrubs, Seinfield to a certain extent. Very much the same. Either like it or you don't.

They'll get atleast 7 seasons out of it mind you.
