I'd be slightly miffed at having to lose the function due to headaches, having bought the product for that said function. |

I'd be pretty damn miffed if I had just spunked £200 for something and find out I can't use it's main feature. |

"Some even reported seeing web pages in 3D after switching from the console to a PC."
Surely this is a added bonus. And in regard to the dizziness, Nintendo did warn of this, as do the instructions. you do not have to be a genius to work out that the prolonged visual effort it takes to focus on the 3D image would have side effects in some people. "Separate images are flashed into each eye, tricking the brain into creating a sense of depth" what do people expect. |

You can't see the web in 3D unless it's 3D enabled. People are seeing things that are not there. A little bit like Retmobs that said he took a 3D photo of the TV when the F1 was on and it gave it more depth. It may well have given the room more depth, but the TV screen it did not, that's not possible.

People are just moaning for the sake of moaning. I'll admit, at times when playing PES my eyes have started to feel a little odd, that burning feeling you get when keeping your eyes open too long is the closest thing I can compare it to, but this is a rare occurrence, when I've been playing for well over an hour, for example. However, this happens with 3D film at the cinema, so it has to be expected. You can simply pause the game, or turn off the 3D for a moment, rest your eyes slightly and then you're perfectly fine.
People like to moan about the latest 'hit' just for the sake of moaning. It was the same with the Wii.. "Oops, I was waving the remote over my head like a complete twat and I hit my light because I'm 6'2." Well, you're just fucking stupid then, aren't you? Something like that really shouldn't put you off the 3DS. Supposed headaches and sore eyes will only happen if you're the kind of person who will stare at the 3D for near five hours, then decide to plug in and play while charging. The battery life may be poor, but in all honesty, I'd expect most people to be able to cope with 3-5 hours gaming at a time before charging is required. The time it takes to charge hasn't seemed long to me, especially with the charging dock. The only thing lacking at the moment is the games library, which will definitely improve over time. The Nintendo DS brought a lot of very good games to the table and you know that basically every single one will have a 3DS sequel or something along those lines, as well as hopefully more third party support. Even without the 3D, the 3DS is a big improvement over the DSi IMO. |

The 3DS is brilliant. Been really enjoying Street Fighter IV on it. If you're gonna sit for four hours looking at the fairly small screen, then yeah, might make you a little fuzzy in the head. But nothing wrong with that. Forces moderation.
Of course, you can turn it off. It still looks awesome! Really looking forward to Ocarina of Time on it! |

Agreed. I'm surprised Tesco are allowing it, they normal put a maximum purchase on most products on offer, to stop this kind of thing. Was reading our own forum and a couple of guys in there said Game had come in and bought 6 or 7 units at a time.

As you can see from the image, Fabio's clearly playing a DS, so I guess this debate is pretty much settled them. DS>PSP, Nintendo>Sony, Redlambs>Weaste ![]() Runs for it |

That's not to say it's not a great piece of kit, it's just one of those rare games machines I doubt I'll ever own. |

That's brilliant.
The only thing left is making all psp games available for download and NGP will have everything, basically...except of course mario, zelda and nintendogs, which will make it a very boring handheld. Or something. |

We'll find out in a few days...... Hopefully it will be competitive with the 3DS at least.

Can't wait. Let's hope it has a great third party support and more exclusives, not only ports. Although as it seems ports will be as good as normal ps3 games so NGP has the potential to become my only gaming device.
Imagine having FIFA 12 with great graphics in your hands, playing wherever you like - on the toilet or in bed...kinell! |

Yeah, that's it, and it also should run all Android games as well. The only bit missing is PS2, but it's not got the ummmph to emulate a PS2, even the PS3 doesn't. I'm hoping for a great mix of games, from 2 quid titles to full blown 40 quid titles, especially if they can share the saves with the PS3.

All right, I finally came up with an idea of getting a 3DS.
Is there a point? From what I have seen there are about two interesting games available now with third coming up on Friday, then nothing remotely intereting within a few months. Am I missing something or are there genuinely no games for the thing? |

You know, I might just finally pick one up this friday with OoT.
I've still got a huge backlog of DS games to plough through, and since I've already sold my DSi, I could easily humour myself with a 3DS about now. |

Ah, that's what I will most likely do as well. Alternatively, I will pick up an used one next week as well as Zelda, complete it and then sell it, I will probably lose £15 max in the process. I just don't feel like playing Pilotwings and Nintendogs all the time, besides games seem to be extremely expensive at the minute which makes me wonder - how are they going to compete with iPhone and Android stuff that you can grab for a fiver when most people interested in technology already got smartphones?
