Val Kilmer is a decent actor but it must be said his career has suffered as a result of the permanent rift between he and Cruise, who wields a ton of power in Hollywood. That said who doesnt love the Sherpa

I hear what your saying Wibble, he's been in a few great films although never really shone. He's also been in some god awful films.

This film is different, the character he plays is brilliant. its a simple role for him, which is why I think it works.

Steven Dorf (spelling?) is also in this film and plays a good part.

Saw All the King's Men yesterday. Just a perfect speeches from Sean Penn doesn't make a good movie. It was decent.

Hard Boiled. If you like action movies and have never seen this, go straight to a video store and pick it up. Fucking excellent action movie.

saw 21 yesterday on the flight home.

was engaging but reminded me of something else that I couldn't put my finger on.
the lead guy was pretty good and the professor dude were good but the rest were forgettable. suppose part of the allure is the fact that every kid would love to be as brilliant as the main character.

may have enjoyed it more had I been at home and not having to take the earphones off every now and then to tell the kids to quiet down.
that and the crew telling me about the turbulence.

Yes!

The Killer and the Better Tomorrow trilogy is also worth a watch if you like this sort of thing.

All of them have Chow Yun Fat in them, come to think of it.

What a great film that is.

Amelie on the other hand didn't do anything for me.

Return of the One Armed Swordsman. Fantastic sequel to the One Armed Swordsman. Some damn good fighting in it. Look forward to seeing the New One Armed Swordsman next.

Just watched Hard Boiled on ole's reccomendation. Quality film. I think it's actually more unrealistic than an Arnie film but very enjoyable. Tony Leung>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Chow Yun Fat however.

John Woo films are never realistic.

Diary of the Dead 3/10

Sorry Romero but you missed the boat with this one. The longer it went on, the more I hated it.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse

THE WORST MOVIE EVER

I can't even think where to begin with this, so I'll leave it at that.

The United States of Leland 2/5

Disappointed.

Crap acting, crap characters, annoyingly flat story...you can't make a good psychological movie with Chris Klein in it... poor version of Donnie Darko or American Beauty.

I've heard the book is squally good. I have it lying with me but I've been stuck with Les Miserables for a while now and don't want to leave it midway.

It's supposed to be decent. The sequel Day Watch is supposed to better. Haven't seen either myself.

Yeah ages ago, I think I thought it was shit. At least I don't remember too much of it bar the fact I hold it in low regard.

Tried watching Daywatch a few days ago but had to return the DVD before I finished it, CBF watching it though.

Says it all really.

Saw it 2 years back. I'd have to see the rest of the trilogy to truly gauge my thoughts on the movie.

Pineapple Express. Not a bad movie. Perhaps a bit too long. Some very funny parts.
