Ridley Scott has Russell Crowe in his next three movies. That's 4 movies in a row if you count A Good Year. Only one of them will be any good.

Pirates was rubbish and he was rubbish in them too. Finding Neverland was good. And he's definitely not the best.

Pirates was good for the first two parts. Wasn't Spoony the one who hated Pirates?

Well Spoony wasn't the only one.

The first one was decent, the second was crap and the third was worse.

That's true. But it was the best comic book or superhero movie I have watched. Much more darker than cartoonish feel to it.
And I loved Prestige, it is a great one time watch. Doesn't have any repeat value.

Sin city was shit. 300 was a good one time watch as well, I liked it when I watched it first. But second time I found them cringeworthy.

Even if you don't like Pirates, Depp was brilliant in the first one. Thing he won the SAG for that as well and oscar nomination. I think he is really good but oddly hasn't done any good roles lately.

Oh and Mann's rubbish. Collateral was nothing special.
And I didn't like Heat at all. He had Pacino's and DeNiro's cock is his mouth all movie. Instead of actors bringing character to life, it seemed opposite was the case.

Sin City was not shit at all. Style over substance, sure. . .but it was an enjoyable film. One of the best comic book adaptations. You're starting to worry me Crappy.

As for 300. . .anything based on Herodotus' writings should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Last Life in the Universe - I loved it. Reckon if you like WKK's films and LiT, you'll love it too. . . And Takeshi Miike made a cameo near the end as a Yakuza!

Michelangelo Antonioni also passed away yesterday. I've only seen Blow Up by him which was amazing but I definitely want to get hold of his other movies most of which are very highly rated. He also directed one of the segments of Eros with Kar Wai and Soderbergh.

Yeah, it was pretty funny.

Also saw Stand by Me and really liked it. The kids were really good.

Might watch Man for All Seasons today. It's by Zinnemann. I've seen High Noon and Day of the Jackal by him both of which I loved.

Hey Spoony, how do you compare Ghost in the Shell 1 to 2?
I only watched the first, and love it to bits. I heard the 2nd one wasn't as good, so I stay away from it.

2 is very good, Reel.

I'm watching this series called Paranoia Agent. Have you heard of it? it's getting a bit silly, to be honest.

Sonatine. . . very good. I like, yes. Kitano's definitely got issues with suicide.

Can't wait to see Dolls. Cunting DVD hasn't arrived yet, though.

Nope. I've decided to rent the DVD. Also planning on renting some of Michelangelo Antonioni's movies.

I'd rather buy DVDs then rent them. I reckon I've bought 100 DVDs in the space of 12 months.

I pay 20 bucks a month for around 10 - 12 movies. And I split the cost with 2 flat mates so basically it's nothing.

Once I have the funds I plan to have my own collection too. A fecking huge entertainment room with a massive music and movie collection. A nice big ass TV, a record player (I'll buy vinyls not CDs).
