Yes though apparently they have spent $20 million on this one, though from that trailer it looks as if it was so much cheaper.

Yeah. Looks like it was just taking the piss. Although the first one slightly had that angle to it as well. With their citizenship adds and stuff.

I had the 'special' effects in mind and the sets looked as if they were made of plastic (most likely were).

The first one was rubbish. The second one was so bad they haven't invented an insult strong enough.

Which makes me fear part 3

The first movie, on the surface, is a cheesy as fuck sci-fi shoot em up movie but it actually works on a few levels. The original novel by Heinlein (or something) was a vehicle for his political theory. It's quite Orwellian in it's undertones as well. Tis a good movie!

2 and 3...not seen. Probably gash.

The first one is quality. You'd have to pay me to watch the sequels though.

The first one was ace back in the day. Mind you I would’ve been pre-pubescent at the time it came out.

The second one was shite. But luckily enough it was so dark the whole way through you couldn’t see a thing.

Ah fucksakes. They've made a mockery of what should've been a fantastic series of movies. Or at the least, a great idea for one.

The CGI looks shite. They've got all that corny 'we need you' bollox, and seem to have made it more of a pisstake then an actual serious movie.

Fucksakes.
