Top 10 Songs by Female Fronted Bands of the 90s (Not Ever. Just the 90s.)

A truly under appreciated genre if ever there was one.

10. No Doubt - Don't Speak
9. Hole - Celebrity Skin
8. The Cardigans - Lovefool
7. Catatonia - Mulder and Scully
6. Texas - Say What You Want
5. Hanson - Mmmbop
4. The Cranberries - Linger
3. No Doubt - Just a Girl
2. Catatonia - Road Rage
1. The Cardigans - My Favourite Game

What's yours? It's difficult to choose, I know.

Anything with Lauryn Hill. So I guess that would mean the Fugees

Ready or Not, Killing Me Softly, etc...

Other than that, I am having trouble even thinking of music I like from female singers in the 90s

Oh, and the Cranberries. Zombie was a good song, and so was Ed Helm's version

I do like the Cardigans, it's one of my guilty pleasures.

But I have to say the absence of any Portishead or Slowdive songs means your list is invalid I'm afraid.

"Top 10 Songs by Female Fronted Bands of the 90s Ever"

Well is it of the 90s? Or ever?

We need clear rules and regulations for GOD's sake.

Elliott, how could you put Republica on the same list as the god(ess)-like Sleater Kinney?

Good call on Stereolab, Sammy.

They spilt lead duties in this band, so I reckon it qualifies:

I included the ever to give this thread the gravitas I thought it deserved. I stand by my decision.

This thread should not be narrowed down to the 90's also. Cos Paramore and Evanescence can not be included which is gay because they are awesome. Also Florence and the Machine.

Nothing by Placebo yet. If we're including Hanson, then surely they count too?

My bad, only scanned the title and read the list.

For the 90's only that's a great list.

Did it always say 90s?

Either way, Eurythmics was better than any such bands from the 90s.
