Stunning. But why are all their bass lines based on I Will Follow Him by Little Peggy March? (At least after their first bass player became ineligible after hijacking a plane.) |

Been enjoying some of the stuff coming out of the London folk / indie scene lately, artists such as Mumford & Sons, Noah and The Whale, Laura Marling and Emmy The Great. My favourite however has to be Johnny Flynn, and I thought I'd share this one song from him with you.
It is called Wayne Rooney! |

I thought it was a little too unassuming at first, but I'm clinically hooked now. |

Any Anathema fans here?
Their latest album, Weather Systems, is simply amazing. Their 2010 album 'We're here because we're here' was one of the best I've ever heard already, but this one even trumps that. Every single song is great by itself, but the album as a whole really is a masterpiece. Their transition from death/doom metal to progressive/alternative rock really is a great succes. Not many bands can put feelings/emotions into their music so wonderfully as they can. |
