I was very disappointed.
Autistic special powers kid, crazy anti mainstream science guru, predetermined everything, 'there is so much more we don't know'. All sorts of new age alternative crap. Oh yeah, and terrorists and 9/11. Horrible. |

I thought it was quite good, although the premise seems like something that would suit a movie more than a TV series to be honest. Did like that Kiefer got to shout "DAMN IT!" again though, nice touch (lol pun)
Like any new series with a "mystery" it will live or die on the flow of information the viewer is given and how they choose to deliver it. |

From the first episode you know the kid has some sort of super human abilities, and can somehow predict future events by numbers. How they will carry this on to be a regular event through the series and keep it interesting will be the battle |

I thought it was alright. Like most/all of you I watched Sutherland as Bauer and it's hard seeing him as a different character as Bauer and Bohm are quite different.
Each episode will be self contained (as we've sort of seen in the way the pilot had a storyline that was wrapped up by the end). Whether that's a good thing or not I don't know but I will keep on watching to see what happens. Presumably as well as the self contained storylines there will also be a storyline that continues through the episodes and comes to a conclusion at the end of the series to help keep interest up. |

It is hard for some actors to get away from certain characters when put into a new role. I don't see him doing it.
But see Bryan Cranston. What an amazing job he did to make us instantly forget his role in Malcolm in the middle and do such an amazing job in breaking bad |

Cranston is a terrific actor. It's a shame he hasn't been on the big screen more, but he has had a great career and has brought joy to millions worldwide. With Kiefer Sutherland, Jack Bauer and Martin Bohm look the same, voice is the same and when you see him you expect him to be, well... Jack. Like you I don't think he'll be able to do it but we'll see. |

I don't really know what to think about the pilot, the story itself was pretty good and it's very intriguing but I thought the acting from Sutherland and the social services girl was shocking.
I reckon it's going to be one of those series I watch for ages without ever truly figuring out if I like it or not. |

I'm not sure what to make of this. He's so Bauer to me that I just can't take him seriously as a caring father. The twice that someone hAs attacked him, ive been expecting him to pulverise them

Continuing to watch it (well my wife has it on) but even after 4 episodes, it it seems stale already. It seemed clever at first but now I'm not so sure.
It seems like the first 5 minutes sets the characters up and the last 5 brings everything together but the bit inbetween is pointless. And the central story running through the episodes is pretty tedious - as is the kid running away every 2 mins. |

He actively tries to not be Jack too though, everytime he gets mad or looks like hes about to blow his top he just backs down with a sorry right away, he's trying too hard not to be Jack and its noticeable.

He is actually ruining the show.
Also he always seems to be gasping for air too. I noticed it in episode 3 and cant stop hearing him breath really loudly in between "Jake" "Jake" |

I'm following it on Sky, we're what? 4 episodes in? So far i'm finding it a struggle to get into it, the storylines are somewhat boring and are already getting repetitive... i'll keep going for another 3/4 episodes but at the moment I probably won't bother finishing the season.
