Whats your best United formation on FIFA 10 online?

I struggled to defend with the default formation especially against teams that played 4-4-2 with quick strikers, so after trying out many formations i now use

4-3-1-2.

with Anderson, Fletcher, Carrick in the middle
and scholes playing just behind Rooney and Berba.

seems to work a lot better.

anyone else with other formations.

PS: is anyone else finding defending in Fifa 0 extremely difficult or do i just suck really bady

I use 4-2-2-2 with Anderson and Carrick as the back midfield duo, and two of Valencia, Nani, Scholes and Giggs as the front duo. Rooney and Berbatov up top obviously. It's essential to use Evra and Hargreaves a lot in that formation since full-backs provide width.

Carrick and Hargreaves/Fletcher as the two, Nani left, Valencia right and Rooney behind Berbatov. It works well for me, passing it around defenses at will.

Do you lot really play Fletcher? I find him poor in that game, he's not very fast or mobile in spite of being around 80. Anderson is far better and so is Carrick (although he has the same flaws to his game, he's stronger and a better passer though).

Hargreaves is a better option in midfield as well, though I use him as right-back as Rafael is too weak and O'Shea is too slow and clumsy.

I find our attack frustrating though as there's no pacey option apart from Rooney. Welbeck is actually decent but you wouldn't play him against someone your level or three levels above.

I go with the 442 that the game comes with, except Anderson on the right and Giggs on the left of midfield. It just works.

Valencia is good at this game, you should make use of his crossing. Basically, you should play either 4-4-2 with wide play or 4-2-2-2 which is the same with wingers further up front and fullbacks providing support from behind with overlaps.

I play something similar, but Scholes in midfield instead of Fletcher, and Rooney behind Berbatov and Owen.

2 in the middle with anderson and hargreaves

3 up top with rooney berbs and nani/valencia.

trick is to win possession then fire it up to the forwards.
