Why?

Anyone listened to these blokes before?

Was recommended to me by a mate last night. Smoked my first spliff in about 3 or 4 months and thought they sounded rather excellent.

I think they're a bit like a down tempo, folksy Americana version of the Artic Monkeys (if that makes any sense at all!). You can hear the same sort of hip hop flow in the vocal. Very nice and chilled to listen to and the lyrics are great (although that might be the weed talking)

Be interested to see what y'all think of them.

Interesting sound, probably not really something I'd listen to myself but certainly not bad.

Very interesting, not mad about the stacatto nature of the vocals but a good noise overall, good find, might do an explore.

I'll have to continue the theme by saying nice find Pogue, got potential.

Not a fan of the vocals... Shame because I really like the music.

Good band. Saw them earlier this year. Everyone knew all the lyrics, which takes some dedication.

Sounds a bit like Cage The Elephant, minus the energy or invention.

Alopecia (sp?) is a brilliant album. I haven't listened enough to their latest yet.

I went and saw them a couple of months ago and it was even more enjoyable than I'd expected. (They'll be back in London in the Spring, you should go see them.)

Why? is from Anticon by the way, and the main man was one of the guys in cLOUDDEAD. (And 13&God and so on.)

Never heard any of their stuff before last week, when my friend got me to go with him to their gig in Melbourne. I really liked it and I think they're a lot better live than on their studio albums.

I do like The Vowels Pt. 2. Other tracks haven't grown on me yet due to the lyrics. Anything to reccommend? I really like the music.
