Advice Required....

Not in an agony aunt kinda way, but feedback needed all the same

The Everton home game on 23rd December had been pencilled in on the fixture list for the 22nd, so ill be in manchester for the weekend before xmas. There me and the missus and my mate and his missus, we had planned to go to the everton game and send them shoppin or somethin. But because the match has been moved to the sunday, and we dont really fancy spending the day trailing round shops and that, my mate suggested we go to bolton v birmingham, but i noticed FC are playin at home that day. So we're gonna go to the FC game instead, basically i want some info on how to get to gigg lane from picadilly, and where to go for a beer and all that pre-match.

I was at the blackpool away game (1st euro away) a few seasons back but never been to gigg lane so any help will be much appreciated.

A piece of piss from Piccadilly

you can get the tram to Bury and then walk to Gigg lane

or the 135 from Piccadilly and that will drop you off at the bottom of Gigg lane about 30-35 minutes

Bus runs at about 10-15 minute intervals

Plenty of pubs to chose from near the ground or you can use the social club next to the ground

Get there early and you have "Course you can Malcolm" in Starkies bar which is inside the ground
Every week they have a local band on ,bottle bar and food

only problem is you are limited to how many people you can get in there so you need to be early

Taxi will cost a couple of quid from Bury to The Staff of Life, few pints and an easy walk to the ground, enjoy yourself.

And it's members only! (assuming you're not already)

You can either ask for a member to sign you in or become a member on the day (£10... get to vote on board members, ticket prices, AGM, shirts etc. etc.... you basically own FC United... well 1 bit but everyone can only own 1 bit so you're as big or little a member as everyone else)

That said it is fucking ace... best beer, best food, best laugh, top bands, 10 foot from the stands in the ground...
