Nope its in London, but if you're stuck for a lift down I can put you in touch with people who are going and may offer you a lift.

Either than or get yourself to Wolverhampton on the Saturday morning and you can come down with us on the Midlands Reds bus..

Friday

There is a comedy night for any who are down a day early or for any more local United fans who can make it to the Cherry Red Fan's stadium. Food is available and you can get a better deal by emailing the club in advance. Details are here. http://www.afcwimbledon.co.uk/news.php?Psection_id=2 Go down to the story on the 25th July. Should be a cracking night. There are already 90 FCUM fans booked for it.

Match-day

Drink - There are two big bars at the ground where all FC fans will be made very welcome. There is also loads of parking at KM but I'd expect this to be busy, so if you want to park at the ground, I'd suggest getting there before 1.00pm. The Peel strippers/music pub is the nearest, about a five minute walk away towards Kingston and on route from Norbiton station. http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs...on_Upon_Thames Only other local pub I would recommend is the Bricklayer's arms. http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs...on_Upon_Thames Plenty of decent pubs in Kingston, Richmond and Wimbledon. There is also the hole in the wall pub at Waterloo if you're coming from there and want a pint before the train.

Food - There is an decent cafe called fatboys that does very good food just round the corner from the ground. (2 minute walk) There is also a good chippy on the same row of shops. Food at the ground is available and excellent too.

Also - Don't forget to buy your matchday programme and the joint WUP/UTB fanzine. Remember all proceeds from the fanzine are being split between the FC development fund and the AFCW ground fund. Next to the ground there is also the AFCW shop which has recently been enlarged and re-stocked. Plenty in there to spend your cash on if you want.

post-game There are three bands appearing from 6.00pm in the back bar. Entry is free with your matchday ticket stub, so hold on to that if you want to watch the bands. Details of the bands are on our OS, link above.

I reckon the game itself will be once again close. I'm predicting a 2-1 AFCW victory with a crowd of 3291 and us wombles being outsung by the FC fans again! The match will be segregated on police advice and the FC fans will be given the whole Kingston Road terrace (opposite end to the last time) and half the John Smith's side terrace. FC fans who want to sit can do so in the main stand.

Happy to try and answer any particular queries on here or by PM. Bring it on... Very Happy

The peel is a shithole, avoid it....i reckon it might be better to head into kingston? The duke and the Prince of Wales near the ground are shite as fuck and not particularly friendly to outsiders

You dont happen to know a fairly decent pub that serves real ales, that wouldnt mind an invasion of about 60 singing reds do you ?

If someone could possibly make contact with such a pub and arrange for them to make us welcome, I am sure I could reward such a person with copious amounts of beer..

I dont think theres actually any segregation, such is the friendly nature between the two teams.

Either way its going to be a top day out...

Only one chant you really need to learn ( because I wrote the fucker )

To the tune of Lord of the dance.

The Ram ( sorted by Londonredmaniac ) is the suggested watering hole.

So if we all meet there then we can erm... entertain the locals.
