Anyone fancy an arguement?
About FCUM.
Lets give each other the opportunity to say how they feel about the situation, since there is such a wide array of opinions. I personally don't like Glazer because he has raised ticket prices etc... Although I disagree that he has taken the club away from the fans. As I see it, it never was in the hands of the fans. People keep going on about the debt. Well people need to get their heads around the fact that debt isn't bad. For instance, if I was in debt to a building society for £3M, poeple would think that was bad. However, i'm only in that debt because I have just bought a house worth £5M. See what I mean? We now sell out over 70k seats a week, and we sell so much franchise worldwide. Also, there must have been a faesible plan for him to lend the money in the first place. He's a very rich man through sports investment's, he's obviously good at his job. My only concern is that the debt becomes unbearable, and something horrid happens to United - Like us going into administration or something. Another problem is that we have on the board a bunch of American's who know nothing about football, so who is going to decide the best replacement to Fergie in a few years? Old Trafford is really boring. As such that I go there and don't even enjoy myself. This is why I go to away games only. FCUM games are all quality, every game is a party, its fucking amazing ! The atmosphere, the ticket prices, the fact that you can go and see the players in the pub afterwards, everything ! The bad thing is the football, I think its shite to watch a lot of the time. My heart will always be in United, but FCUM is such a better day out. The ten-year dream? The hope shared by many FCUM fans that in 10 years FC will be in the premiership. Well I hope not. Mainly because if we do, money will inevitably run our club, and we are back to square one. I would be happier in the conference, playing nationwide, acting as a platform for up and coming talents to get noticed. Then theres the Anti-Rio / Fergie songs. I'm not a big fan of these, especially Fergie. For me, he is God. As for Rio, he genuinely is a twat, but I admire him as a football. He's an integral part of United, and I hope that he stays there for a long time. These are all my personal opinions, so I may be way off the mark with some of them. Hopefully we can have a good debate here... |

You've got half a great Football club, but you're not watching Manchester United. The history, the tradition, the ground, the players, the shirt - it all plays a part in the cocktail of allure and magic surrounding the club, along with the fans and atmosphere etc.
It's as simple as that for me. I went, I enjoyed it, good fun, but it's not something id take seriously as my club. Theres just not the same fire inside. |

I never really cared who owned Utd, Edwards was a class A tosser and tight as fuch and the PLC thing was a pain in the hole. Glazer is only the latest out of touch owner. |

The thing is, he can continue to raise them because he will still fill every seat. I hate that he is doing it, but I would do the same if it was my 'business'. |
