From both sides of the arguement...

I would appreciate a few questions being answered please. I have now set up my own FCUM supporters branch, but still feel that I don't really know enough about the club. I will post a few questions below and ask that you answer them. I always end up having the 'traitors' arguement in the pub, and actually am interested in the questions these people ask. I put what I think is the answer in red underneath the question. I would like your opinions. Cheers...

1) What is the aim of the club at the end of it all?
To eventually buy into United and get the club in the hands of the fans.

If this is so, how do they intend to raise the money, and will they be allowed to bid, or will we have to hope Malcolm will scarpour?

2) Who set the club up, and is it true that they were secretly recorded saying they were in it for the money?
The club was set up by United fans, fans hold the shares to the club. The video recording is made up.

3) How far does the club want to go? Premiership? If so what will happen when we HAVE to raise ticket prices, and get sponsors etc...
Not a fuckin clue.

4) What happens when the Glazers have gone? Does everyone return to OT?
I would, but couldn't speak on behalf of the rest of the fans. United is still my club. But, there are children being brought up to only know FC, and there are jobs on stake. Although, to carry on after the takeover would defeat the object.
5) How much do the playes get paid?

Cheers,
MB.

I wish the college would allow this as a subject. Unfortunately i'm too busy learning how to analytically measure vector forces on a planar surface, as well as study electron physics, depletion layers, electronic principles, kirchoffs current and voltage law. And as if that wasn't enough, I have to learn about Pythagoras and natural logs on top of it all.

1 No no no
The aim of the club is not to buy into Manchester United at all, any money raised by FC United will go back into FC United Under the I.P.S rules any money raised has to go back into the club and can not be used for anything else

2 The club was set up by disenfranchised United fans
The fans do not own shares in the club
Fans can become members which will enable them to vote on any major issues of the club
The club is owned by the members

3 How far the club goes is up to the members
Prices, sponsorship etc again everything like that is up to the members and a vote will be taken
At the general meeting next week votes will be taken on
Prices staying the same for next year
Adult STs going down in price per game this season a ST worked out at two free games next season it will be three free games. The same for Senior citizen STs
The introduction of a ST at the same price of the Senior citizen STs for the unwaged
Junior STs to be dropped down in price from £2 a game to £1 a game
A proposal to change either the home or the away shirt next season to start a two year cycle for shirts or to start the season after
A vote if the shirts are to have sponsors on or not

As well as a couple of other things

4 When the Glazers have gone, If the club was to carry on or not would go to a members vote. A lot would like to see the club carry on and run in some sort of a way as a community club to United. As for the fans thats up to the choice of each and every individual to do what they want.If it happens sooner rather then later it would appear to me most would start watching both clubs,if games did not clash

As for defeating the object there are still many fans that can not go to OT for some reason or other there is no reason why the club cant or should not carry on but again that will be up to the members

5 Last I heard players were on £40-£50 a week with about three or four players who are on a contract £80-100 a week

On the question of what will happen when the Glazers go, I am sure that most FC fans will stay at FC, but they may pop along to the odd United game, wheras that is out of the question at the moment.
