Brighton vs FC United

Confirmed 2nd round game. Brighton have just beat Woking on penalties.

Would have been better for FCUoM to get Woking, but there's still hope of getting to the 3rd round. Gonna be a big game!

Who's going?

may be going if a spare comes my way, but not going to get in the way of long time ST holders and members who should have priority for a momentous game.

Will be down on train though if I get a spare

Tickets (all 845 of them?!??!) go on sale tomorrow. Due to the ridiculously small allocation it's ST holders + membership first then either or.

FC could have taken a good 2-3,000 but Brighton don't want noisy fans with smoke flares so that's the way it is. Major arguing in the FC fan ranks about a boycott but with the lack of concrete facts as to who is to blame for it only a few are. Everyone is blaming "the police" for the reduced allocation but something doesn't sit right about that. My personal guess is they think the fans tipped the Rochdale game and they don't want either the hassle or the banana-skin.

Loads on about buying tickets for the home end or just jumping the crap walls or sitting in trees.

I'm still going (fingers crossed)

the police blame only seems to come fro the Brighton form where some said the ticket office told him the police where to blame funny out the countless calls to the T.O no one else got this info yet some seem to take this post as gospel

Same bloke also got a phone call from his mate in Rochdale saying we had been causing trouble there and also the same phone calls from lots of other mates who also watch non league teams that we had played in the past

There's a good article on FCUM in today's Observer magazine. Can't find a link to it but it's a good read and is written by one of the founders of the club.

Disappointed to concede a late goal still a great result. Hope we can do the job at home.

Shame this result seems to have been overlooked somewhat on here. Also a shame to have conceded so late on, but I thought it would be one step too far for FC today and to have survived a late, late penalty, it's a fantastic achievement. Can't wait for the draw tomorrow!

Could have been alot worse. Plus the longer FCU stay in the FA Cup the more revenue they get.

Certainly true but it could have been a far more romantic draw. If they get through, an away at a big club with a high capacity stadium would have been the dream ticket.

Before the Fa-Cup draw was made it was my dream that FC would draw Liverpool and knock them the fuck out of the Cup. That would have been so great. Now i hope to fuck FC donīt get the chance to draw the vermin in this seasons FA-Cup
