Droylsden 2 - 3 FCUM

Wow - fantastic result! Droylsden of the Nationwide North beaten at their own place!

Anyone lucky enough to go?

EDIT: Sorry, Droylsden were Nationwide North Champions last year, which means FC United managed to beat a Conference side. An even more fantastic result!

Great game and FC should have won by more
Worth the admission money just for the goal by Arron Burns

Droylsden tried to claim it was a reserve side they put out yet nine of the team played in their last game and most of the others have played at least eight games this season

If it wasn't for some very dubious refereeing the score would have been a lot more

made the Droylsden manager look a bit silly with his claims about FC being a pub team that they could give a 10 goal start and still beat them with a reserve side

I take it that there's no chance of Aaron staying after January then? Do you thing more ex-United trainees will follow him to FC, even if it is only for a few months, or a short term contract?

When is the draw for the next round made?

Wouldnt have thought so unless no one comes in for him but I cant see that happening
Its only now because he cant sign for anyone higher in the league although he did look as though he was enjoying it last night
Think the draw for the next round is sometime next week

Barely a conference side, 5 points from 17 games so far. I saw them play pre season, they beat Rochdale fairly comprehensively - albeit Dale had an injury ravaged back line and a trialist they later released on the flank. They looked a useful team though, am suprised at their troubles so far this season. Still, given the divisional gap, fine result for FC United
