Tickets are now not far of Chelskis prices if you take into account London weighting

Even though most people will say their tickets are £65 but they wont tell you that this is only for one part of the ground and most Chelski tickets are in the £40-£45 price range

Let me explain.

You turn up at OT ticketless. You are expecting to buy one off the club for £35. But on your way to the ground you bump into a nice tout knocking them out at a reduced rate, because he wants to get something for the ticket rather than just throw it in the bin. SO perhaps he charges you £15.

You go into the ground. Meanwhile the ticket you WOULD have bought off the club is still sat there because you dont need it, due to the fact you already have a ticket.

Now please let me make one thing clear. I am NOT saying all the touts are selling cheap tickets, I am not saying tickets can definitely be bought for £15. I am merely saying that IF what Mick is saying is true, then should you decide to buy one of those cheap tickets off a tout that means there will be tickets left unsold at the TO because obviously if there werent the tout wouldnt need to be selling his tickets cheap.

I have known cases where complimentary tickets have ended up in the hands of touts. One high ranking ex-United player is renowned for taking tickets then selling them on for a profit, as is the father of one of the United players...

Yeah I see wot you mean, but would touts be buying tickets up to sell if they know the club is having trouble to sell tickets? That would suggest there is no demand and I doubt they would want to be left with tickets they have paid for and cant sell, so would there be any touts?

The touts tend to apply weeks in advance for tickets to make sure that they get them, so they dont actually know when they apply what the ticket sales will be like. Not only that some will use STs so they have to pay at the start of the season no matter what.

You very rarely see touts outside OT for things like Carling cup early round games, and if there are any, they rely very much on the numpties who turn up off the cuff thinking it will be a sell out. They then go to the touts thinking its their only chance of getting a ticket, pay over odds then realise when they get inside they could of got it cheaper off the club.

I have seen Touts literally giving tickets away because they assumed OT would be a sell out and on the night of the game, they have them but everyone there already has a ticket.

A couple of seasons ago I had a spare for CL game, so I stood outside OT asking if anyone needed a free spare. I couldnt even give it away. I ended up throwing it away because quite simply no one wanted it, they all had one. So if I cant get rid of a ticket that I was giving away, imagine how the touts fared, and they were charging.

I am not for one moment suggesting there arent cases where touts make alot of money. There are, but you go to any site where the touts are offering tickets, and you will see literally hundreds of United tickets for sale. Last season they were going for about £60 for a home game. Now they are going at just above face value, because where once people couldnt get them off the club so would pay over the top to get them off the touts, now they can get them off the club so theres no need for the touts. Only the pillocks who have never heard of a telephone or www.manutd.com use those sites, and being frank if they are that stupid they dont know where to go for tickets, they deserve to be ripped off anyhow...
