If they make it to the Premiership

What would the feeling be between this team and M.U.?
Most fans are sympathetic to this off shot team, and FCUM fans are still on this site, and United fans at the same time.

It seems to me that general opinion is that we would be friendly clubs, but personally, I doubt that. I think that the two clubs would become bitter rivals, and those supporting both clubs now would feck off to FCUM for good.

There is no love lost between Inter and Milan...

Send a message via MSN to Utd heap
I see you have a very limited understanding of the two clubs, judging by that post.

Too late for me to explain why

I do have limited understanding of FCUM, I'm not a supporter at all, even though I like the idea behind it.

Don't worry, the 'off shots' will never be a Premiership club.

How can a club with a fanbase of 3000 or so become a Premiership side?

Why do you think that they can't grow in time is a better question?

Because they're a semi pro club in the Unibond league in a city that already has 2 premiership teams.

The average football fan in the year 2008 doesn't care enough to ditch 'world class' football to go and watch a semi pro club with an idealistic attitude.

That's why I said in say 50 years or so a few posts above. And even then, you can call that optimistic. It took Hull more than 100 years to get this promotion. Much stranger things have happened in football, it's not science fiction to believe they will one day be in top flight.

The Premiership is not what FC United aspires to.

Fuck me, you're as daft as the other fucker..

So how many teams when they started out had tens of thousands of fans ?

What about the parents who go to FC now who take their kids. Those kids will grow up being FC United fans, and take their mates blah blah blah..

If you are that naiive to think Man United started off with home attendances of 85000 then you need serious help..

It highly likely in fact that FC will grow and reach attendances of 10-12 thousand in the next 10-15 years, which is about what Wimbledon were having at the height of their premiership seasons..

Because he hasnt got a clue. Straight and simple answer, and the truth is, he doesnt like FC, so in his narrow minded little world they cant ever prosper when all the evidence actually is there to show FC is growing and will continue to grow over time.

What the clueless idiot doesnt understand is that the current ground situation is not ideal for FC and its too far outside Manchester for many fans to get to. Once the club has a ground within Manchester itself then it will make things alot easier for people to get to and because there are more people in the area itself who may be interested to see what FCUM is all about, they will find it easier to get to.

FC is THREE years old. Theres clubs in the league that have been running for over 100 years and they struggle to get the home attendances FC United get.

The fact theres two premiership teams in the city has got fuck all to do with it. Its because people cant afforrd to go to watch those teams that teams such as FC will prosper.

The more Man United price fans out the bigger FC will get.

I also said

"The average football fan in the year 2008 doesn't care enough to ditch 'world class' football to go and watch a semi pro club with an idealistic attitude".

More and more hardcore local fans quit every year, in my experience they just go to the pub instead.

What a strange thing to say, if you check through this forum you'll find that I've been to watch FC United a number of times.

In this day and age there are not enough people that care that much, it's easier to attach themselves to established big clubs.

It's not a criticism just my opinion.
