Wilson re-signs, Garner goes and Tunji takes time-out

FC United have re-signed Macclesfield Town striker Kyle Wilson on loan whilst full-back Simon Garner has left the club and midfielder Tunji Moses has decided to have a break from football for personal reasons.

Wilson, who scored 24 goals in 32 appearances for the Reds last season, has initially joined for a month but the deal may be extended if United can agree further terms with the Silkmen. Manager Karl Marginson is delighted to have Wilson back on board even if it is just for a matter of weeks.

He said: “It’s fantastic to have Kyle back. Obviously things haven’t worked out quite as he would have hoped at Macclesfield yet but that doesn’t mean he isn’t still a superb talent. To have someone who can get 20 goals a season is a great asset and when players of that quality become available it’s my job to get them to join the club.”

Meanwhile, Margy was eager to pay tribute to Garner who has decided the time has come to move on despite not having a new team just yet. He said: “Si leaving is a big blow. He’s been absolutely fantastic since he joined the club.

"His attitude in particular has been a different class; the way he embraced the club and its ethos by becoming a member and things like that. He’s a credit to his family and himself and hopefully things will work out for him. I wish him all the best.”

Wilson will be eligible to play against Frickley Athletic on Wednesday night whilst Margy suggests he will leave the door open for Garner and Moses if they decide they would like to discuss returning to the club in the future.

Kyle was class at FC and hopefully he can replicate that form even if it is just for a short period of time. Is it possible that this loan deal will be made longer or perhaps permanent if he does well at FC, as it doesn't seem to be going too well for him at Macc Town, and it would be beneficial for FC if he came back for longer than just a month or so, of course.
