I can't be arsed with the FC board right now, and am fully aware that some fuckwits on here will jump on this anomaly if I'm right, but wasn't the whole "sell a thousand STs" promotion that was declared a full success on the grounds that this year's gate fees would stay the same?

No just the ST prices would stay the same... which they will as the board has recommended they stay the same and we just have to do the "no brainer" and vote "yes" to keep ST prices the same.

IMHO I don't think it's worth the mither and bad publicity to get an extra 50p.

Also I can't see how we can avoid having a little "Unibond" badge on players sleeves.

So STs will be the same price next year too, is that right? I thought the deal, whatever it was, was for this year. "We all get the same" or words to that effect.

It can't have been for this year's STs as what was the point of saying "buy now and you pay the price you have already paid"?

Something doesn't add up here. Someone link me to the original offer promotion if you can, as it seems to have vanished.

Think the idea over the STs was that they wanted to sell a 1000 by a certain date

Everyone applying/buying/pledging or whatever by that date would get it at last seasons price

Anyone buying after this date would have to face the possibility that they could have gone up depending on the vote

However due to the amount sold it was decided to keep all STs at last years price

Cheers lads. I see now. I didn't read it properly initially to be honest.

If I can get my memebership in in time though I'm voting against the on the day increase.

Looks like it could be a close run vote

Have voted against as well even though it makes no difference to me

I wouldn't say it doesn't matter to me, as it's not cheap, even though we're all happy as the money goes straight to the club, but we're surely looking to attract more supporters of all kinds, besides the more committed members.

£7.50 for an FC day out is well worth it though, but it's above the going rate for that level.

Saying it doesn't matter to me didnt mean it that way
as a ST holder the price won't affect me as such

Not too sure about it being over the going rate
Could only find the prices for half the clubs in the same league

Taking prices for one adult and one child which would £9.50

Lancaster City
Adults £6.00
Concessions £4.00

Mossley
Adults £ 7.00
Concessions £4.00

Radcliffe Borough
Adults:
£7.00
Concessions:
£4.00
Accompanied Children:
£1.00
Unaccompanied Children:
£4.00

Wakefield FC
£7.50 adults,
£5 concessions
£1 for children under 16.

Lancaster
£6 Adults £4 Concessions

Rossendale
£8 Adults £5 Concessions

Skelmersdale United
£6
£3 concessions
As this is the price for a friendly game suspect the price for a league game could be higher

The adult tickets subsidise the kids and I think they are cheap at £7.50 but I just think we should be leaving it at £7.

Also I realise we will lose money on cup games this season because gates will be low and Bury still want their £5K but we should raise the money somewhere else not ticket prices. Perhaps play cup games at Abbey Hey or Alty or something could make a massive difference to costs and also introduce different people to the club by not having every game at Bury.

Wouldnt surprise me if Alty charge about the same as Bury
Abbey hey shouldnt be too bad
Maybe even somewhere like Droyelsden could be worth testing out again at least they were happy to try and help out in the first place

Well we were definitely over the going rate in the NW Counties. No problem from my point of view as everybody who turned up is committed to building this thing.

But where next? I hope everybody continues to "get it" and the newbies becomes equally committed members, but if not and they just wasnt to watch some football, will they want to pay over the going rate?

Logically, we're heading towards becoming what we're trying to set up an alternative to - the going rate is the problem in modern football. I wouldn't pay £12 or whatever a match if we get to the Conference. I thought the concensus was that "we'll do it our way and take the consequences".

Our club, our rules will be pointless if we simply enter the financial ratrace that is killing football?

looks like you could be paying £12.50 to watch the game against a likely Droylsden reserve side in the Manchester Premier Cup

Thinking on it, I doubt I'd go if I were down me Uncle Dave's in Gorton.

Not that I would be becasue he's an arsehole anyway, but you get the point. What has football become if Droylsden can charge 12.50 and feel justified? Fuck the going rate.

That lad from Droylsden said they only get 400 didn't he? I wonder why.

RESULTS

Quote:
Following conclusion of the FC United members’ vote on pay-on-the-gate ticket prices, season-ticket prices and Northern Premier League Unibond patches, the results are as follows:

On the question "It is proposed by the board of FC United of Manchester that adult pay-on-the-gate prices for home matches rise by 50 pence to £7.50. Under 18s and Over 65s pay-on-the-gate prices should stay at the current rates of £2 and £5 per match respectively":
85.88% voted to accept the resolution, 11.9% voted to reject it and 2.22% abstained.

On the question "It is proposed by the board of FC United of Manchester that home season tickets for the season 2007-08 remain priced at £126 for adults, £90 for Over 65s and £21 for Under 18s":
96.6% voted to accept the resolution, 0.78% voted to reject it and 2.61% abstained.

On the question "Rule 7.7 of the Unibond League requires that competing clubs wear a competition logo on the sleeve of their playing kit incorporating the name and logo of the league sponsor. In March 2006 at the General Meeting of FC United the membership carried resolution ’C’ which stated "that no FC United of Manchester playing strip will carry shirt sponsorship". The League Management Committee have informed FC United that sanctions, financial or other, as a result of our refusal to wear the competition logo would be severe":
86.01% voted "Yes - wear the patches for season 2007-2008 on the basis that, should our members wish, we will continue to make our position clear in future dealings with the league"
11.11% voted "No - refuse to wear the patches and accept any punishments which the league deem appropriate"
2.88% abstained
As mentioned in club correspondence, it is anticipated that this issue will be revisited at this year’s AGM for a formal resolution on the matter.

Turnout for all three votes was 58.31% of all currently eligible members.

I'm really trying to remember what it was. It's starting to annoy me. It was the EGM when we voted on keeping the shirt pure of advertising and that was clear-cut against, as was another issue. Then the third one was the close.

Have even been back through the site archives and can't find it. Help!

Don't think so. That was so boring that nobody would have dissented. Same occasion though, if I remember rightly.
