But, the real issue here is not actually what Sir Alex has said and not said, IMO. There is a anti-Fergie brigade out there amongst United fans, who would twist anything he says or do and use it against him. It does United fans no favours, nor the club.

Judge Sir Alex on what he does in his job, not what he says.

Not if you demand trophies galore every season, no.

But I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have in charge, who would have done better.

Fergies doing a decent job. and AEBM is correct for not demanding trophies every year. a style of play we can be proud of, and a bit of passion on the pitch is all i want.

Remember our little talk?

You just do as I say, without the moaning - and we'll all get along fine.

That was the talk just before you shoved a broken becks bottle into my face and told me never to go near gigg lane.

Bully.

I would like to do that, and I have defended him to the max against the anti Fergie brigade, however his comments backing the Glazers was like a smack in the face, I would be happy to see him leave now.

So what have the glazers done that was particularly wrong? apart from obviously backing the manager in the transfer market and staying out of things that they could of stuck their noses in?

They have kept quiet and are now trying to run the club as well as they can...im all for that...i might not of agreed with the debt aspect of things...but that's the risk you take being a PLC and i didnt see many new clubs being formed when THAT happened and the situation we have now was the potential danger.

But i know where people are coming from with the FC argument as well, and i fully support anything that wants to be run in the spirit of Manchester United F.C as it was known then.

Why does everyone keep harping on about "but thats what happens when you become a PLC"

The PLC made us no more open to a takeover than being a private company. If anything it made it harder.

Edwards was going to sell United anyhow. All he wanted was the right money, and had Micheal Knighton got his figures right, he would have done what Glazer has done.

THe club is for sale now, as long as the right money is put forward. Everyone has a price. Glazer found out what Coolmore wanted and he agreed to pay it. If someone comes along and offers the right money GLazer will sell up.

Being a PLC is not the reason United are in the shit with the debts. The reason is purely Glazer offered way more than he can afford, and he is expecting the fans to repay it. He could have done the same if the club was a private company.

A private compnay could have told him to sling his hook no matter what the price. A PLC can't.

We all have our favourite players, we all have those we don't like. Speaking like that about anyone who pulls on the shirt is a disgrace IMO.

How do you know he can't afford it? Do you have secret access to his bank accounts?

Its a fact, the club was on the market PRE PLC.......

Or was Micheall Knighton a figment of my imagination.

It is as easy to buy a private company as it is to buy a PLC...
