Nantwich Town Lose Place in Presidents Cup 28/02/2008
At a Unibond League Cups’ Committee personal hearing today, [28th Feb] Nantwich Town were disqualified from the Presidents Cup due to playing an ineligible player, Josh Hancock, in their quarter final tie against FC United of Manchester last Monday.
This decision means that FC United of Manchester are reinstated in to the Presidents Cup and will play away to Goole AFC in the semi final on Saturday 8th March.

Unibond Presidents Cup
Nantwich Town were yesterday informed by the League that the player Josh Hancock was not an eligible player an was not on a Unibond form.
The club has carried out an internal investigation into the matter and attended a personal hearing this afternoon. As a result it was found that Josh Hancock was ineligible and although the Club had not tried to Mislead anybody by this administrative error, no fine or further action will be taken against Nantwich town.
Nantwich Town FC were disqualified from the competition and FC united were reinstated
The club would like to take this opportunity to apologise to all their Fans and supporters for this administrative oversight.

FC United have been informed by the league that due to Nantwich Town’s disqualification from the President’s Cup we will now play Goole AFC on Saturday 8th March 2008 in the semi final of the cup.
The Bradford Park Avenue league fixture scheduled for that day will now be played on Monday 7th April 2008, kick off 7:45pm

Looks like we are back in a cup competition that we really didn't want to be in
