Good day today at De La, Mick. Glad to see so many turn out, and even if the weather was typical Lancaster Rd, it was enjoyable.

I was suprised that the pitch was in such good nick considering it was on the rugby pitch. Still top guy Peter Reid, don't know how he got involved with Chris, but the guys been great with him. I know for a fact that he's been to see him in hospital in Southport and also taken him out for a drink on occasions. Where the connection is I don't know, but due credit to him.

From what I heard he was one of the main people in organizing the event stayed behind for a long time after all the other stars had left and took time out to speak to people

made sure that I had taken the photo of the kids and asked if I wanted to take any more just in case

Was also more the willing to wear an FC scarf when asked
