Play for FC!

OK, it's not football, it's cricket but we need to get a team of eleven together by Bank Holiday Monday to take part in the Bury Cricket Club/FCUM Fun Day.

Bury are fielding two teams and Margy has assembled a Cardigans' team which is allegedly unbeatable (we'll see)!

There will be two semi finals followed by the final but it's only Twenty/20 so should the unthinkable happen and we get beat then at least we'll have plenty of time to catch a few rays, down a few ice cold beers and scoff a few burgers (some of that after the game!).

We can't be seen to be so disorganised that we can't even get a team together and who knows, we might even surprise a few people.

Level of ability/experience is not so vital as a sense of taking part and having a good laugh along the way, although knowing one end of the racquet from the other and being able to manage an overarm bowl would be an advantage.

All equipment will be supplied so there's no need to go mad in Decathlon either.

The Bury teams have promised to take it easy on us as well so nothing to worry about there (duck!).

If you would like to take part in the FCUM Supporters Team, please post a reply to this Thread. Those people who have already contacted the office need not post a reply as they will be receiving an email or telephone call shortly.

We have three players who have contacted the office and one who has expressed an interest on the Forum (apologies if I've missed anyone else) so we only need 8 more! Of course if we're oversubscribed we'll be able to be flexible with our squad rotation

You have nothing to lose other than to prove Margy's prediction of "unbeatable" wrong! I mean, how good can they be?
