You wanted more control over the catering at Bury. You’ve got it. A bit.
As from the start of this season members of FC United will have use of Starkie’s Bar inside Gigg Lane, which will sell a full range of beer, cider, soft drink, sandwiches and snacks. This is a “can only” arrangement with ALL profits going to FC.
Due to the limited capacity access is strictly for members + 1 guest only on a first come first served basis. Membership cards must be shown to gain entrance and guests signed in. There will be no charge for entry and guests can enrol as members if they require as membership forms will be available.
Starkie’s will be open from 1.30pm for day and 6.30pm for evening matches as well as during half time. You can even place your half-time order prior to kick off to save time!
Also on match days we are taking over the Bury FC Social Club. We will be charging a £1 entrance fee, with the entire fee going to FC. There will also be a range of food available within the Social Club at very reasonable prices (Hotpot, curry etc) and the food profits will also be retained by FC.
The Social Club will be open as per the usual hours, but please bear in mind that it may be required for Bury FC use after our matches.
Our manager Karl Marginson will be popping into Starkie’s Bar from time to time and players not involved in the day’s games are being encouraged to mix with supporters in both bars.
The Club have worked extremely hard in order to procure these facilities and we would urge all supporters to take advantage of the arrangements and ensure the continuing growth of our Club.
