Wembley.. Wembley. They're the famous fc united and their going to wembley

Well done FC United.

5 years after their inaugural season they today made the 1st Round of the FA Cup for the first and it wont be the last in their history.

They are rewarded with an away tie at Rochdale.

Well done to Margy and all the players.

When they win two more, and draw United in the 3rd round, wil you make your long awaited return to OT, Fred?

Imagine the media circus if they drew United in the third round (assuming they get there) would be epic.

Not a chance.

That would be the worst scenario I could imagine, and I think myself and about every FC follower would refuse to go to such a game.

Do you really feel that Fred? I would go to that match and sit up in the away corner - I think the symbolism of doing that would be pretty important to everything FC is about.

1) I wont pay a penny to the Glazers.

2) I wont ever cheer for another team to score against MUFC

I would not under any circumstances go to a game between FC United and MUFC, no matter what the situation. It would cause the biggest ructions you could possibly imagine and I suspect that the troule that would occur in and outside the ground would place a division that would never ever be able to be rectified.

with FC trying to get some more

I heard there were still some left as of yesterday.

Maybe some got sold at the AGM today, but either way, its going to be a big night for FC, and the higher the attendance the more FC will get.

If the ground were to be full ( 10,000 ) then it would make for a fantastic atmosphere.

apparently 3000 tickets have been sold, the away end holds around 3600 so I think there's around 400 tickets left

Well against medical advise, and after much earhole bashing from the wife, I am now going to be in attendance at said game.

Fuck knows what its going to do to me health wise, but who cares.. You only live once.

Still "pay on the gate" in the home end... just hide your scarf and then find the rest of the reds inside!

Also talk of more proper tickets being made available in the "main stand"

They are talking to Rochdale about increasing the FC Allocation.

Not at all bad for a pub team that will fade out by christmas...

apparently rumour has it we're getting part of the mainstand (around 900 seems to be the reported figure) so that would be nye on 4000 official from FC, then of course the amount of FC who may just go in home end

No further allocations being given.

Any FC fans who have not got a ticket can POTG and go in the home end.

This is Dale we're talking about, they don't shift much more than 3000 for a league 1 game, I doubt they'll be as up as you are for a first round cup game against non league opposition. I'm sure they'll be plenty of admittance on the gate

Oh, and also, Dale were called off tonight, not a game they'd let go lightly either, home to Oldham. If the weather doesn't improve might shit on the parade a tad

Not sure what the forecast is for the rest of the week.

I suspect that there may be a few closet Rochdale fans popping out the woodwork just to have a look at this non league phenomenon thats rolling into town.

ESPN have provided covers for the pitch. They went on yesterday and they're that big groundstaff can work underneath them

As nice as it would be, I think most FC fans are going with the intention of having a really great night out and enjoying the occasion.

Of course, its the cup so anything can happen. It wouldnt be beyond the realms of possibility that FC pull off an amazing result. Even a draw would be a huge ( I wont say massive for obvious reasons ) result for FC.

But realistically, if everyones truthful, no one expects FC to be in the draw for the second round.

Heh, well done FC. Not at all surprised at the result, I actually recommended folk back FC to win earlier! I've learnt a thing or two about the Dale down the years... mainly that they lose this kind of game!
