It's a shame the sub forums are not visible on the main page, where as site news and announcements, polls, and classic threads are, and no one ever goes in them.

They can be made visible on the main page. Other foums do it. I'll give you an example:

Yes lucky since FCUom isn't Manchester United it should by rights be a sub forum of the Football Foprum but since there is some sort of connection we will start with the current arrangement.

Most mods have been for this change for some time with one or two exceptions, myself included. I have now changed my mind.
