I understand that it was played on Tuesday morning and a 'behind closed doors' friendly.

No details to hand.

Team was Woods, Strickland, Dudgeon, Wooton, Gill, James, Norwood, Petrucci, Brandao, Macheda, Stewart.

Subs unknown but there were quite a few.

Scorers were Brandao 2 and Petrucci

United were 3-0 up at half time.

Am I imagining it or has Brandao been out-scoring all our better known young strikers this summer?

I don't think so, Federico Macheda's scored more (pretty sure) and he was the top scorer at the Milk Cup with 6 goals in 5 games. Have to say, I really do not rate Brandao - can't see him ever making it for us or any top level side for that matter, time is still on his side though.

Macheda has 7 this pre-season (5 for the U17's in the Milk Cup, 2 for the reserves). Brandão has 6, King 4.

Brandão's not done bad considering he's generally been a sub. Can't say he's massively impressed me either (although I thought, one cock-up in the Chelsea box aside, he did well tonight) though, he's very very raw and lacks the required work ethic at the minute.
