Academy v Wolves.

3-1 win at Carrington. Good game in a high wind. Good goals and excellent performance from the usuals Welbeck, Evans, Bryan et al. Woods looks promising in goal. Some great passing from Eikrem and Drinkwater.

Good one, I really like Welbeck and think he's the most promising player we've had in the academy for a good while.

What's everyone's opinions on Eikrem?

T'was a good game. Wolves' nr.9 was class, probably mom. For us Drinkwater and Eikrem stood out, especially in the first half. The centrebacks - James and Gill - looked solid. Stewart did well at left wing and left back. Outrageously pacy, good goal. Corry Evans but in a captain's peformance in midfield. Welbeck is obviously a great talent, but he goes missing and is a bit too 'cool' for my liking. To me he seems like a typical example of someone who's been too superior at younger levels and lacks a bit of fight because of it. I'm sure he'll grow out of it and we might have one helluva player 3 or 4 years from now. All in all - good stuff.

Was impressed by Eikrem and Drinkwater in particular for their passing and crossing. Woods seemed to do well as well.

Watching it again I thought Galbraith's putting the ball out with the goal at his mercy was pretty admirable. Shame the guy wasn't really "injured" (well, not a shame that he wasn't injured, oh you know what I mean). Nice gesture (at 3-1).

I was really impressed with him at the milk cup, was captain and was played in centre midfield. However during the season he has been stuck out on the right wing and has been less effective.Still a good player, quite light but may grow, great passing.

the team on the official site is down as:

United: Woods; Moffat, James, Gill (McCormack 46), Dudgeon (Galbraith 61); Bryan, Eikrem, Drinkwater, Stewart; Bryan (Brandao 76), Welbeck.
Subs not used: Curran, Norwood.

I assume we haven't cloned Antonio Bryan over christmas so does anyone know who they've missed out by duplicating him?
