Ben Amos - size?
Might sound like a silly question, but how tall is he? Seems like a talented player, but many talented keepers have been stopped by their lack of height, could this be a problem for him?
Does of you who have seen them both play alot, who do you prefer, Zieler or Amos? Somehow we produce a lot of talented young keepers, but few make it. |

Unfortunate really. I think Shay Given is the smallest in the Premiership and he is 6ft 1! I suppose a lower centre of gravity can benefit agility, but very few small goalkeepers make it.

Ben Amons will be part of the England U17 squad to play against Portugal U17 on Feb 17th...I remember that a while ago United got the signature of Evandro Brandao...just wondering if Brandao will be in this game as well

![]() Not a silly question 3 years later at all. He is 19 now and it appears he is coming into his own. He has over taken Foster as number 3. I saw this picture recently and it got me thinking, all the stuff about his height on the web are wrong. TK is 6-2 almost 6-3. This picture shows that Amos is taller than him. I too like to know the heights of keepers as I believe a tall agile keeper is always the best and few comes around ever so often. I was very impressed with him today. |

Ive always liked Amos. Hes a very natural keeper, good instincts and presence. By the time he's Fosters age he'll probably have played 3 times as much football.
People tend to forget that point about Foster. Whether that lack of football in his formative years can account for some of the problems he is currently having Im not sure but its certainly possible |

Devlin is a great shot stopper and seems to be a big, confident personality however he is prone to making howlers at the moment, although he has improved his consistency this season. It's probably an element of concentration and experience, both of which will improve the more games he plays. He can be a little weak on the crossed ball too.

I can't remember who the question was about. Conor Devlin and I think it was Robbie Brady yeah. has Brady had quite a few injury problems this season? If so then it definitely was him he talked about. Again, bags of potential and will hopefully make the step up in the future.
