Urgh, wonderful from Petrucci - chips it to Fabio at the back post, open net and he heads wide. Poooooooor header.

Pogba drills a free kick into the wall - deflects to Will Keane and in. Good for him to be back scoring

Seems to hit Michael Keane before going it. Should probably have been ruled out for offside.

It's a good point to be fair to Paddy, I hate defenders folding themselves in half and getting a free kick for a supposed high foot.

Pogba's so annoying to watch. He's absolutely amazing at football, yet he'd be about ten times better if he demanded the ball instead of walking round the pitch, watching play go on infront of him.

I don't know if it's a stamina thing, a mental thing or whether he simply thinks he's too good for the reserves, but it's so annoying watching someone with the talent he has, knowing that he could conceivalby be so much better. Some of his touches tonight have been mouth-watering.

They've been working on his work-rate it's improving but it'll also come with experience I guess.

Yeah, it'd be amazing if the club hadn't noticed it. It's not good enough - Morrison was definitely superior in this aspect. Everything else though...the level of talent is absurd. He'll be world class as soon as he sorts this out, even if it is an admittedly large flaw to rectify.

It'll come with experience, like you say.

I always do find it weird that he's never in the squad or got a run out in the carling cup. I suppose he has had injuries so that's put him back in the pecking order. But saf knows best

Injuries certainly hasn't helped. I just think it's down to timing and us having a lot of good prospects really. At this rate I'm fairly certain he'll get a chance in the carling cup next season though.

Completely agree. Said something similar in the Pogba mega-thread. He should be bossing midfield in games like tonight. The fact he isn't can't be down to a lack of talent. Just needs to be a bit more switched on and put a bit more effort in. If there's any truth to the rumours about him thinking he deserves first-team football any time soon he really needs to up his game.

He should take a look over at Cleverley, really. Cleverley's not quite there yet, but he's obviously working on it, and is such a useful player simply because he looks as if he actually wants the ball. He's even alluded in interviews to the fact that he's trying to emulate Xavi and Iniesta in this aspect.

To be honest, Pogba and Anderson should be tied to a couple of chairs one day in Carrington and forced to watch videos of those two on repeat. If Pogba had Xavi's off the ball ability, I'm not even sure how good he'd end up. He'd probably go on to become one of the best midfielders of all time, to be honest.

Shooting from range, physique, passing, vision, dribbling ability, close control...the more I think of his attributes and the more I see him play, the more I wonder whether we should just offer him whatever he wants and run the risk of producing a load of wankers in the future.

Welbeck was a bit like that too in the reserves. Quite laid-back. The loan spells and first-team appearances have changed that.

I used to crack up when Danny played for the reserves, you could always hear our coaching staff shouting instructions to him. As he just seemed to switch off and lose focus on what he was meant to be doing.
