YOUTH COMPLETE SHUT-OUT TREBLE

Tony Philliskirk's youth team put in a strong performance at a three-team tournament earlier this week.

Held at Manchester United's Carrington training complex, the tournament pitted Latics against the Red Devils, Crewe Alexandra and Stockport County.

And Philliskirk's youngsters ran a tight ship, competing hard in each game to earn three successive goalless draws.

Indeed the record could have been even better had the young Latics taken chances in front of goal, particularly in the game against Crewe.
