Kiev reserves match

We played them with the reserves on this trip.
Does anyone know the score or squad?

Is this a friendly game? Did we have any option for playing any reserve team in Europe?

Am I right in saying this was an idea that we came up with? Possibly at youth team level first (Rene's idea maybe?)

Now that we only play about 30 reserve games a season means we'll see more of this sort of arrangement just to get them playing.

Hehe. Queiroz will be pleased. That's the way to do in European away games.

Heard Fergie say that he was very impressed with the Kiev youth production rate, some very good young players.

Probably a good chance to kill two birds with the one stone... get a game in for the reserves, as there aren't many games for them lately... and get alook at the latest youngsters coming through from kiev. No doubts at all that Fergie got a detailed report on/or watched that match.

Fergie is planning to do more of this.....he wants to give the reserves more experience and playing time.......he is also looking at having regular youth games with Ajax....

Some years ago our reserves played at Bayer Leverkusen and in Greece.

Two years ago we played a friendly up at Celtic......

We will see more of this but I don't think it was in any way Kiev specific.....

We played Porto, Kiev.......I bet we will take a team to Roma as well!

All good experience and totally logical.........

Once again United show a 'visionary' approach to youth development!!!
