Reserve Vs Burnley

We have a game against Burnley tonight.

No United team news yet.

Here is the Burnley team news: Young team for reserves - Burnley FC - Clarets MAD

Looks like we should win this one based on this article.

Being an eternal optimist, I am hoping that Hargreaves will put in an appearance.

That's disappointing news. You just know Fergie will play Park against Everton.

Reserves clash postponed

A frozen pitch at Altrincham's Moss Lane stadium means United's Barclays Premier Reserve League North clash with Burnley has been postponed.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Warren Joyce's charges are the current league leaders and had been looking to maintain, or extend, a two-point advantage at the top of the table with the visit of the Clarets.

However, another bout of cold weather demanded a pitch inspection at Moss Lane this afternoon, where it was decided that the game could not go ahead.

The Reds' second string are next in action against Everton on Thursday 18 February at Altrincham.
From the land of the newb.

This is total bollocks.

I blame you, x42bn6. I'm pretty sure you could have mathematically predicted the state of the pitch with a clever computerized model based on sound heuristics and pre-warned all parties involved.

Put that degree to some use man.

I was trying to see the plus side of things after Nani got a red (3 match ban domestic) and Giggs picked up a 4 week injury.. & was hoping that it would mean the re-introduction of Obertan!

Personally I would like to us to get Cleverly back - he could probably do a good job in his current form

Debatable given the step up, but moot anyway because we can't recall him now.

Even if he has something to offer us for the rest of the season, and that's a fairly big if, it's not worth risking his progression for.

I agree with that..

Nani is going to miss the rest of the month except tonight's match & I am sure he will play the entire 90 mins (Meaning one of Park/Valencia will be fresh for Everton) Giggs will miss around 5-6 games.. We have Valencia, Park both of whom are fit.. Nani will be back and we have Obertan waiting in the wings for his chance..

Also I am certain we don't have a recall clause for Cleverley because I remember the Watford boss talking about some fee or amount of money they will have to pay us if he stays on beyond December..

Pretty sure recall clauses don't even exist as far as long-term loans go. There's no way Cleverley can come back.

I think the game tomorrow is probably going to be called off too, it's supposed to snow tonight and the temperatures are lower than last week.

If its on I'll try and make it down. Not been to a reserves game for ages (the heady days of Eddie Johnson, Danny Pugh, Kenny Cooper etc).
