Petrucci has a chance of making it here but with his injury problems and that I think we'll be cautious with him. Pogba may have to step in to the first team at any point if injuries persist and therefore we need to keep him match fit.

Petrucci, has played well for the reserves the last couple of times I have seen him. I was a little surprised when he didn't get into the squad for the game against Palace Although I honestly thought Pogba was going to start in midfield that night. So it was understandable as Ravel and Pogba both needed to get a chance from the bench at some stage.
If Petrucci can stay fit this year, a loan deal to a Championship side could very well be the making of him. Much in the same way it was for Cleverly, and Brady seems to be doing well for Hull too. It is certainly too early to write him off yet. |

I know Petrucci is young, but he needs a loan move - he doesn't make any progress in Reserves and - with our current injury crisis in midfield - he's still not even close to the first team.
That's worrying, I really think that a loan move would help him a lot. |

I think he just needs an injury-free (ish) season under his belt, under the watchful eye of our physios. When a young player's been out as long as he is, it makes a lot of sense to use him sparingly and keep him close to home.

I don't agree with that. He's taken plenty of steps in the right direction since he came back, so far reserve team footie has clearly and understandably been a big enough challenge for him. He probably needs a loan at some stage, but for now - keep him fit and the transition from unlucky bastard just back from injury hell to exciting prospect of vast potential will continue.

He won't make any progress if he's not loaned out next year - better? |

Petrucci is a lot better than Gibson, shouldn't even be a contest for a starting place there honestly. Quicker we ship Gibson out the better for everybody at the club.

As of right now, Gibson is the best central midfielder in our reserves. Which was plain to see in the Palace game.
If - God forbid - Carrick tears a ham-string on Monday the opportunities Gibson has been getting to work on his match fitness will have been far more important than whatever experience Petrucci has missed out on through picking Gibson ahead of him. |

Oh and Diouf has now scored 9 goals in his last 9 appearances for the reserves, he's clearly not good enough for us, but I feel he could easily do a good job for the bottom half teams. We should send him and Macheda on loan. Keane could provide us good cover. |
