Expect everyone who played 120 minutes against Burnley today to be rested.

Good result.

I'm curious, what upgrades have been applied to Carrington's facilities?

New training pitches, a sports science department and upgraded press facilities.

Shit, completely forgot this was on. Good result after the disappointment in the YC (different players, obviously, but the point stands.) That's what really stands out about this current U18s generation: the sheer quantity of quality. Almost the whole first choice 11 out and we still walked all over Bury.

How did Mitchell play? Good goal?

Thanks jb, I'll add that to the stat page.

That's Dean Henderson, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Ben Barber, Demetri Mitchell and Joe Riley, for anyone interested.

This is the only place I found that listed them all, and their favored positions.

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson

Barber's an Under 18, the other three (plus Dean Henderson) are Under 16's who will be scholars next season.

CBJ is a left back, big and strong and was a bit surprised to see he was our player when I saw him for his England agegroup - looked like the typical English youngster type that we tend to avoid (not that there's anything wrong with picking lads for being big and strong as long as they have ability too). And Mitchell we all know about.

The others are a bit of an unknown quantity though, would imagine only those allowed into Carrington for youth games know much about them.

Borthwick Jackson is actually thought of as being highly technical although he probably didn't show it in the victory shield matches he has been compared to rio and has actually played as a left winger with the youth teams in the past

So the link I posted lists the following primary positions for these three players, are they correct? (Henderson came on for the GK so I'm figuring he's a GK, and I have CBJ as a FB as posted above.)

FB Ben Barber
MF Joe Riley
ST Demetri Mitchell

Think Mitchell is a bit like Wilson or Morrison from what I've seen, not really a striker but definitely not a midfielder.

Barber's naturally a CB but not the tallest so has played/will play full-back a fair bit. Riley I'm not sure about, has played right-back quite a lot, haven't personally seen him play in midfield before but then I've not seen him much at all. Demi's more of a winger although could see him playing a few different roles. CBJ's a CB/LB.
