In retrospect, it might have been better if we hadn't won that one. 16 is still a lot of titles.
You'd have come on last season or something

My own favourite was 92/93, closely followed by 98/99, then 02/03 (eight points up, eight points down, Wenger is a fucking clown ), then 95/96 (Double double), then 99/00 when we walked it by 18 points.

I was lucky enough to miss the majority of our barren spell, so for me it was the 93/94 win. Just that whole season was great. The 94 team was one of the best we have ever had. Ok we were favourites to win, but going top at August and staying there is a magnificent feat. That tense nervous period when Blackburn drew level on points after a string of bad results late on in the season when Cantona seemed to be getting sent off every game. Nailing Chelsea in the FA cup final. Andy Cole getting promoted with Newcastle and then taking the Premier league by storm in his first season. That 3-3 at Anfield.

It was also my first season with a season ticket, back when I still lived in Manc. Getting to see the likes of Schmeichel, Irwin, Bruce, Keane, Robson, McClair, Hughes, Cantona, Pallister, Giggs every game...just everything about that season was magical for me.

06/07 had the best chant backing track.

From early December

"Mouriiiiiiiiiiiiniooooooooo, are you listenin, you better keep the trophy glistenin, we'll be back in May, to take it away, walking in a Fergie wonderland"

To after we lifted the trophy and the players joined in with the singing.

1. 92/93 - "my" first title
2. 06/07 - they said we couldn't do it again
3. 95/96 - You win nothing with kids
4. 02/03 - Arse!
5. 98/99 - First of a special treble
6. 93/94 - Proved the first one was not just an accident
7. 07/08 - Defended it - again!
8. 99/00 - Arguable a better team than the previous year
9. 96/97 - Hurrah...
10. 00/01 - Can someone please give us a challenge!

Basically, mostly I find a title win taste even better after having not won it the previous season.

1st: The first Prem title because it ended a long time in the title winning wilderness

2nd: Last years triumph beause it looked like Chavski were leaving us in their wake... ha ha ha. as if. Not while there's breath in Fergies old bones

3rd: 1999. rude not to include the TREBLE (and that's the DVD I reach for if I need a lift)

They are all special in their own way but the ones that stand out for me are:

9293 - Remember this one vaguely but it finally got SAF and United over the hump. The Scousers were still somewhat quality then but it showed that United were the new team to reckon with.

96/97 - Remember this one vivdly as I was at Selhurst Park when the Scousers were given a rollocking by Wimbledon 3-1 to hand United the title. Even better was that I had to sit with the bitter Scousers during the match. A few days later, I travelled to OT without a ticket to witness the victory celebration and the 2-0 stroll over West Ham.

02/03 - A great victory to be sure as the Arse thought they had it won in February.

06/07 - Showed that quality football wins out in the day, even if United limped over the finish line. A great achievement given the thinness of the squad.

07/08 - Nerve wracking at times throughout the season due to the intense competition in the PL. More tougher tests than in any season that I can remember. However, United passed it with another trophy in hand.

98/99 - Were pushed hard but there was something special about this team. This year's edition are more talented but this squad had that intangible of winning when it was least expected.

For me (in order):
06/07 - everyone had written us and SAF off, including large chunks of our support. Chelsea were threatening to put a strangle hold on the premier league. Yet we played some amazing football and thoroughly deserved to get our trophy back.

95/06 - Beating Keegan's Newcastle. I loved it!

92/93 - Bit too young so don't remember all that much. Still, I remember being very happy!

I just love the 2002/2003 season. After our loss against Middlesbrough in december, 3-1 I think we was like 8 or 9 points behind Arsenal. We also lost the derby at Maine Road, away to Blackburn, away to Leed, home to Bolton.

The start of december we won 5-3 vs Newcastle, 2-1 vs Liverpool and 2-0 vs Arsenal.

Anyone remember the Sunderland game at home 1st of january? We had like 32-1 in chances but Macho in the Sunderland goal was fantastic. Late goals from Beckham and Scholes won the game and after that we didn't lose a single league game.
And Diego's winner against Chelsea was special.

92/93 Who can forget that Bruce goal.

As well as 06/07 last seasons which I think was his greatest one. No one gave us a chance, most idiot pundits put us at 5th after RVN left. With only 1 signing in Carrick, SAF showed everyone you don't need a DM to win the league.

02-03 was great.I just loved it when we pipped Arsenal.I started watching Manchester United from 95 onwards, United always scared the shit out of teams that dominant they were. Now we have a few teams sniffing behind our back. But its ok as more competition makes it interesting.
