11,400 leeds fans in our ground?

is this going to happen?

Apparantly the FA's rule for FA cup away allocations is 15% of the home ground capacity.

I presume there'll be 11,400 stewards in their end as well. Those scumbags need 1 to 1 supervision.

It's normally the whole of East tier 2, which I think is more like 7,000. But then most clubs won't bring more fans than that anyway...

We'd need to give them the whole of the East stand to make it 11,500.

Got to say, this one is lost on me too!

Where would Leeds get 37,500 fans from anyway?

Oh. Load of glory fans who'll turn up for a big cup tie, eh? Pity they can't be arsed to support their team week in week out.

I thought that there was a rule that it had to be a 15% allocation up to about 7,500 or something similar? If I'm right, it's discretionary after about 7.5k and the club decided if/how many extra tickets the away club gets*

*Disclaimer: I may have invented every word of this in some deep buried part of my brain.

That would explain why we've never seen the whole East stand given over...

EDIT: Nothing about 7,500 here

I think there will also be plenty of our own lot who come out of the woodwork looking for tickets for this one.

But look who they were playing... Hard for most people to feel up for a match against a non-league team. This is United. This is their chance to show they aren't meant for Division 1. Revenge, etc.

I say bring it. And I say in two years bring them back to the Premier League. Love the old teams much more fun than Stoke or Pompey

Despite the rules I cant see it happening somehow. The cops or The Professional Game Board are likely to scupper it.

We had over 38,000 to watch the Liverpool game and even 32,000 for the Charlton game.... selling 11,000 for OT would be a breeze.

The Glazers must be licking their lips, you know they'll be charging £50 a ticket for the expanded away section

I've paid £31 to watch us in the 3rd Division so to watch us play the current league champions/recent European champions at OT for £50 is a bargain.

I might be in Paris and doubt that I'd get a ticket as we have a loyalty system based on the number of away games people have been to.

You see most clubs actually have a logical way of deciding who attends away games.

It'll be a nice day out for them. All cup minnows want these games against us. It helps them earn some money and people the world over actually get to see their team.

I doubt it mate.

You wont see many families making the trip from over the pennines.

'Nice' and 'day out' aren't the words i'd be using.

The last time Leeds came to OT, the escort didn't get inside the ground, police had to put them back on the coaches.

Im expecting 3 rows of stewards. I really cant see this NOT kicking off if they come to OT. I can't see it being a Milwall vs West Ham but i think Leeds have been praying for this tie since they were relegated.

If it was away it would of been immense

Definately.

I've heard they used the rhinos trip for the rugby to deface OT where possible. Any excuse.

I've lived in needs since 04 and was at uni in leeds as well. They fuckin hate us. I nearly got into a scrap at the gym cos i was wearing united shorts last week. And rest assured if i wear them whilst playing 5-aside you'd think id pissed their kids pre-match.
