140 million

We had 140 million pounds worth of players on the pitch tonight, and that was before Ronaldo, Rooney & Carrick came on, yet we couldn't level let alone beat a struggling Championship side.

SAF should give them a bloody good hair dryer.

Was that really the amount we had on? Really?!

Yes. Opposed to 11 players with a total market value of about 12million.

Don't think i've seen them play so bad....ever! Couldn't pass, couldn't shoot couldn't put a tidy ball into the box. Everything we played went long. Absolutly embarrasing.

Fair play to Derby for battling though.

That was such a poor performance against a team that has won once in the last 9 league games. If a team at the bottom of the Prem has just played in United shoes tonight, we'd all be talking about dead certs for relegation. There are fucking big question marks about the young players at the squad, not just on tonights performance. I'm sure you'll all call me a WUM for it, but is my opinion!

We had to pay for the loan! £5 million!

And I think its plaer value not what we payed.

Still, don't get where the 140 million figure comes from though.

Exactly - what a knee jerk drama queen of a thread.

I'd give Tevez 3 million for the loan deal, 1 1/2 years @ 2m/year.

I think the loan was 12 million total, 2m to TSI per year plus 4m in wages per year with a 20m purchase option. This is where the 32m keeps getting quoted but incorrectly stated as the final transfer fee. No the transfer fee would be about 20m.

tevez was 5 mill an year, now he's worth 10 mill. Our fans our extremely spoilt!! It was one performance people, CALM down. I think maybe the thread starter was looking at nani and anderson's deal's as £25 mill (originally 25 million euros each) as we had only paid a small amount of their fee initially and the rest is going to be paid with the euro on par with the pound. Even then I still don't get where the £140 millions came from.

Market Value.

And what on earth has Tevez being on loan got to do with anything?
I said value of players on the pitch.

Market value. As if United are a selling club and transfer fees are used not market value.

Oh, and being a bit shit.

You've proved your point though. No sense keeping Tevez when we have Welbeck.

The loan was 5 million. And you don't take players wages into account when assessing their value! Otherwise Giggs would me the most valuable plaer at United.

A market value is what you quote for a transfer fee.

I'm not assessing his value. I'm breaking down the loan and fees involved. Spot the difference?
