4 goals in 6 matches

Dear United fans,

Do you think not buying a traditional center forward during the summer is coming back to haunt you now??

Since RvN left, you lot have yet to find his replacement i.e. a player who can bang in 20 goals a season.

But Ronaldo is not a 20 goals a season type of player. He is more of a creator. Last season I must say was exceptional for him in terms of goals scored. While RvN was a pretty consistent goal scorer during his time in United.

Look everyone. Indonesia's most hardcorest Liverpool, number one fan, has managed to find his way out from under a rock to post on the internet again.

You don't need a "20 goals a season" player to win the league. When you get the right player, even Michael Carrick can win you the league.

That being said, the injuries to Rooney and Saha were a bit unfortunate. I think we'll look a lot better once we have them back fully fit. If that doesn't happen I agree we might be forced to go shopping in Jan, which isn't the ideal situation.

I'd be insulted if you didn't put Liverpool word in there

He's quite brilliant really.

He didn't post for a whole year until they made it to Athens.

Both Ronaldo and Rooney scored 23 goals last season

Manchester United will score more goals than Liverpool this season

we didn't need Ruud last season did we and were top scorers in the league plus we finished 21 points ahead of the dippers

you're getting a little bit carried away with your sides "fantastic" start to the season aren't you ?

if you were a fan of a club that are used to winning titles you'd learn that its a long long season and would probably be a bit calmer than you are right now

that is all

They are all getting very giddy, those dippers

Personally, regarding our start, I am quite happy that we are where we are despite playing rather rubbish. The confidence come from knowing that we are much better than what have shown so far, and the quality of the team and the squad.

We'll come good, and finish up 2nd, behind Chelsea.

And I thought we won the league last season, scoring goals left, right and centre.

Silly me.

Maybe they are, but they are on the same number of points as us, so that perhaps should tell you something...

And the relevance of that is ?

What happened last season has gone. Its over..

This is a new season, and what happened then isnt happening now.

What good are last seasons performances if we're not matching them now...

Dear RedsForever,

Are you concerned that your new star striker missed an absolute sitter that cost your team two points on Saturday?

I'd expect a knee-jerk reaction to our performances so far from a young lad, not someone who has seen many seasons, Fred.

Isn't it better to think that we are well in touch at the top despite not performing anywhere close to our potential yet?

There's your relevance, Fred. I'm sure even you'll grasp it.

You'd think the author of this thread would actually come up with something better. . .

And I don't doubt we'll start banging them in this season.

United's lack of goals

serious question, and looking for serious answers. 5 goals in 11 Premiership games, stuttering in front of goal all season, are you concerned? i know you have been without Rooney and Ronaldo, but can you really expect Ronaldo to have another 20 goal season like last year, and Rooney has never really been prolific in front of goal, and Tevez looks a bit fat and shit.

We do have an out and out striker.

And I am not concerned because I know 1) that it won't last and 2) what a quality team and squad we have.

Id be more concerned if i was a fan of one of the rivals

United are lurking in the background, picking up the points without playing overly well. The 'big guns' are starting to come back and its only a matter of time before we hit first gear.
