Hmm, not sure why I thought that... didn't realise he'd spent that much of last season out.

Not if either side are in the CL quarters and have a Tuesday match.

Not likely in the media's view and surely not by ABUs.

If we win those and are still 2 points back, we can't be favorites yet. Chelsea have some experience with title races too, you know. They've still got most of the team that won the league twice before we went on this run. If we can get our noses in front...then I'd say we're favorites. But not before.

Looks like luck's on our side and we might just win it.
Not sure where luck comes into it to be honest.

We've had far more injuries than Chelsea and were obviously very unlucky to lose the "head to head" against them. On top of that, I don't think anyone can say we've had the best of refereeing decisions this season, whereas Chelsea had several against us (Rooney wrongly given offside, Rooney denied a clear penalty, poor decision for their goal), a goal by Birmingham ruled out for offside at St Andrews, and West Ham denied a clear penalty for that push by Carvalho, just off the top of my head.

Lucky that the rest of the top teams aren't very good either.

Chelsea should be running away with the league given the other contenders form through the holidays. The fact they don't have a large lead allows United the chance. I think Chelsea will rue the many opportunities presented. I'm fairly confident this United side can win another championship, and how sweet it would be with the BPITW at Real and ugly cunt across the city.

Knowing him, he'll probably be regarded as better for Chelsea than Mourinho if they finish 2nd and lose to Inter in CL. The way he managed to remain at Milan for so many years in spite of them going clearly downhill a lot is amazing. Two CL triumphs surely helped him but he didn't do particularly well there nevertheless.

Do they? Two times they won the title, they was never any race at all, they were dead certain to win it in December with 14-point cushion or something of a sort. Chelsea of 2005 would be running away with the league already, this team isn't even close to having the same winning mentality as the one back then.

Once we put some pressure on them in 2006/07 they struggled, same goes for another two seasons. Basically they've been in the title race three times over the past few years and lost every single one of them.

Agreed. I really don't rate him as manager. No one beats him at just getting by then sneaking a major trophy win here and there.

For all our injuries and the way we've played at times this season, 2 pts is a ridiculous lead.
