4pm On A Sunday?
The defending Premier League champions kick off the season 27 hours and 15 minutes after it already began.
There were only five 3pm Saturday kick offs, on the opening day of the season. I understand the influence of TV coverage, but surely the first and last days of the league should remain sacred? Why didn't we play in Arsenal's slot? Wouldn't that have been more suitable for the holders to start the season, if it couldn't be 3pm on a Saturday. |

That was what I was thinking as well. Wouldn't it be more appropriate if the champions be the first to start the new season. Now the game is being telecasted at 11pm here and I have school early tomorrow.

I thought the current champions opened the season. But it's no big deal.
