An afternoon with Gary Neville

Some of you might remember a thread I did last year, where a few of us got to meet Denis Irwin and Pat Crerand. Same story this time around, Gary in his United ambassador role has come over in advance of the US summer tour to do some promo work armed with the "Premier League" trophy. Took a load of photos - will post more later.

He was a great fella, very articulate and open during the Q&A, one of the most interesting answers he gave was in his opinion; the 2008 team was the best he ever played in, referencing in particular Ronni, Tevez and Rooney

I really liked this impromptu moment when his brother appeared on the TV above, will post more comments and photos later

Did he tear down the Liverpool scarf and the 'This is Anfield' sign right next to him?

Yeah, Globe, he talked about that pitch.... He said "having worked under SAF so long he has become accustomed to "taking advice""... so last night he was advised to aim above the head, which is exactly what he did and that he was expecting it to dip at some point".... obviously it didn't ......

It cracked me up when I saw it just because everyone always skips it in. The pitch for people who did not see it yet:

Yeah. Most of the people who throw out first pitches are either models or aging corporate types, and the balls they throw bounce four times before reaching the plate.

There was a screen facing him also which is what he is looking at in this shot, he was in the middle of of answering a question and got distracted when he saw him..... he paused and said "Oh, its my brother", it doesn't sound funny but it got a laugh at the time
