Hold on, i'll type up the clip from their sport bullet-in.

Quote:
Julio Gomes talking to the BBC -

"Yes i want to play for Real Madrid, if they pay me and Manchester United what they have been promising.

So if Real Madrid are real about what has been published in the Spanish press, yes i'm willing to play for Real Madrid, however it doesn't depend on me. That's the firsst message. And in fact it doesn't depend on him, the clubs have to reach an agreement.

And the second message is, i wll not talk about i any longer till the end of the Euro Cup.

Cristiano Ronaldo wants to make it clear there will be no deadlines any more, he said in two or three days i woudl talk about it, jut after the Champions League final i woudl talk about it, so now he won't talk about it."

So today, was the announcement and all there will be for some time from him.

Wouldn't put it past you mate, especialyy if Ronnie does go
My Uncle Bob died at OT in the 70's. My sister was born while me and my dad were at OT watching United beat West Ham 3-1.
There are things in life that you have to DEAL with, yes, like family, job, sex but football's on another level. I thought that's how it was with all of you.

What has he exactly said to cause you to be so aggrevated? Apart from saying a hundred times he's happy here and wants to stay. You know nothing about Ronaldo as a person, I'm fairly sure if there were things to be discussed he would have/will be discussing them with SAF. I find the personal insults to be particularly retarded, not just from you.

Real have links with Terra as does Mendes. All the journos are trying to find out why this, if true, was put out by Terra.
However The Times, Guardian, Telegraph and Independent are all going along on the basis that it's true. That he did say that. Worrying. Terra is well respected, it's not the usual rag.
However, his mum's fkd am all over. Love her little cotton socks.
The quotes just doesn't sound real at all in my opinion, and it's pretty suspicious how that random journo from Terra is the only one who's been able to get an interview with Ronaldo, yet alone get him to speak about the issue.
It also doesn't help the journalists case that he's now going round being interviewed and what not, that only adds to the theory of him craving attention, which made him write the story in the first place.

It was a pretty clever plan though; releasing an exclusive story on the hottest topic in football right now where everybody is waiting on a comment from Ronaldo.
You can't buy that kind of PR - the website has been mentioned all over the world all day long.

I am crazy about football. But, it's not even my favourite sport (2nd fav). I still love United, and as much a fan as anyone here. I bleed United. But when it comes to issues such as family and health, I don't see the comparison. My family will always win.

The man deserves a break, and he is being denied that because he;ll be following this closely, instead of rewinding.

For that reason, Ronaldo is a fucking selfish fuck. He's won no respect from me, or all other United fans I know through acting like this, no matter what the outcome. if there is no story, then why not just deny it?

And thinking of that he is the captain of Portugal, how much respect does that show to his teammates? They too are asked day in day out whether Ronaldo has spoken about wanting out of United.

Yet another bad perspective of things.

It is what he hasn't said in many ways. Or when he does say thigns he seems two faced about his future.

It is the claims that he has been in talks with Real Madrid for a fair amount of time.

It is the accepting of a Real Madrid poster as a present from a Spanish journalist at a Porrtuguese national team news conference.

Things like that i'd say.

I am a united supporter. You're forgetting something important here, Im very drunk and not to aware of what Im saying. I dont live in England (Ireland) but I've gone to a game and plan on going to more. I cried when we won the CL FFS. I've watched it at least 5 times (the full game). I'm, as die hard as you can get.

That was an interesting quote from Gomez.
What he's saying is that Ronnie would consider a move to Real IF Real were serious about their numbers. Which numbers? 300,000 quid a week? ffs that would turn my head. And 78M to OT. They're not numbers to stay loyal for. I sort of agree that, with everyone having his price, jumping from 120K to 300K a week is pretty massive. I think Ronnie's waiting to see whether Real can, or will, put their $ where their mouth is. If they do, he's gone. If they don't, he'll stay.
I think we have a long wait.

Fair enough, I'm not trying to provoke anything, I just don't see how anyone can hate him as a person after all he's done with us.

It's not about a competition between United and family. Of course family matters have to be dealt with satisfactorily. But we're talking about religion here.

We need a file on what the Spanish press, specifically Marca and As have been claiming in recent weeks.

I agree with you, he is calling their bluff. There is this line that people come out with, that whenever Real Madrid want a player they always get their man. I think this will test even them.

Our problem is, that if the high ups at OT do have a price in mind and Real drag this out to say mid-late July and then meet it, we're in a bit of a bind time wise.

Of course not. I was just making the point that there are more important things in life to me. another being religion. Im not an avid mass goes or anything, but I put God before anything else. Things have happened in my life which makes me feel the way I do. I dont look down on you or anyone else for feeling differently. And i have to admire you for feeling as strongly as you do on this subject.

I think the chances of Ronaldo leaving this summer are nil. That's not to say he doesn't want to go, I just can't see us selling, as a point of principle - Fergie and co won't want to go back on the strong words they've already issued, and they won't want to see Madrid ride roughshod over us. I don't think we'd actually have him rot in the reserves, although I could see Fergie giving him the odd bit of discipline Beckham in the stands vs Leeds style. He'd simply have to get on with things. I don't think he'd give any less than his best for us

Quite how firmly the supporters are behind him will depend entirely on his conduct from here. If he does come out and say he wants to be at Madrid this summer, I still don't think it will happen, and things could be a little hostile initially

Has the Terra interview been verified or not? On page 76 we had decided it was made up. Still the case?

But the caf will have long since crashed and burned if it goes on til then, unable to support the hoards sitting here and pressing F5 every two minutes to see what new and refreshing incite has been offered by a fellow cafer.
And how, I ask you, will we all cope then?

The terra interview is bullshit I think. Why would he make his announcement to a brazillian paper/website? I would rather believe his mother saying he's staying. He's a mama's boy after all you know?
