I knew scalpers that were selling tickets for the cup game last weekend for £180 in the away end... surely they wouldn't be that much at Old Trafford.

Then why are you asking the question?

I don't ever deal with touts so can only go off the online touts, you sound like you have dealings with touts so you should know better than most of us.

And I doubt you'll get a "fixed fee" considering there are no touts on here. Ask the "scalpers" you know.

I gave you my best guess, I reckon you'll be lucky to find one under 200 quid.

Liverpool at home. I think you can get one £80-£100.

Craigslist might be a good place to start. Extremely dodgy though.

Should get one for under 100 if you wait until close to kick-off, they start to panic and drop the prices.

Liverpool at home in the league is a bigger game than away in the cup. Maybe not to our proper fans but the daytripper market drives the prices for big home games sky high.

A tout was selling Everton at home for £80. Who would pay that much to watch Everton at home.

I'll give it a go anyway.

It's for my Dad, I'm a ST holder, but he's over for the weekend, so it's either try and get one on the day.. or leave him at the pub lol.

If you're going to go that route try show your face around early and ask for price. They try bartering. At the end of the day an unsold ticket is worthless. We once had a couple of tickets left over for cricket and a tout offered us a fiver for a 60 pound ticket.

That really isn't always the case. I've been to plenty of games in the past where touts have had tickets left over and have refused to sell at a decent price, even after kick off. The point for them is to prevent everyone from just saying "ah he'll sell it for a fiver after kick off".

They're obviously not going to sell it for a fiver.

My point is if they want to sell a ticket for 100 and it doesn't go I'm sure you could meet around the 60-70 mark.

Yeah that's what I don't think happens so often any longer, obviously the "fiver" comment was a joke, but I've seen touts turn down 70-80 quid 5 mins after kick off.

Maybe they've made enough profit in the day to know that if we start going soft closer to kick off we'll start losing early business.

Yeah I certainly think so. The Community Shield last year vs. Chelsea was a prime example, I waited with a ticketless mate who'd flown in unexpected, (for a game that was on General Sale through both clubs just a week earlier) and just a couple of minutes after kick off a tout wouldn't sell him a ticket for 100 quid. Madness.

How do the touts get their hands on so many tickets for huge games?

The only alternative is train there and megabus back. That's £50. Don't think I can be bothered with that option. I've been offered a seat in car from newb on the basis he gets a ticket so I'll just wait on that.

That isn't the "only" other alternative. If you're determined to save money then national express it.

I've done London to Manchester with 45mins to spare before and I got late for the game. Don't want to risk it again.

Got the chance to get tickets for the section 411 for Ajax away. Is it known how many Reds are travelling yet and is that section near the away end?

Thanks.

2,590 fans traveling.

You'll have to ask IanDangerously which block his tickets are in.

Moment of madness. Applied, never thinking in a million year that I'd get them - having opted out of the home leg and with Euro credits - so accepted a shift at work that night.

Then I only went and got them, but couldn't cancel my commitments. And now all the banter on here about lads going is killing me!

... anyone know when Spurs results are likely to be out? Usually pretty soon after the deadline right? Or has that stopped. Sure it was like that early part of the season...

I have been told that someone has discounted VIP tix for the game on Saturday. He left me a message last night so no idea if they are still there but he hasn't phoned to say they're gone. People have used tickets from this guy before (just search my post history) but I'm just passing on the information.

PM for his number or email.
