Anderson and adidas?

Someone reently brought up the whole Nike-Adidas deal regarding Ronaldo. I just saw a commercial for Adidas (the one where Mourinho is trying to speak English and there is Messi, Kaka, Becks). However the thign that striked me was that Anderson was in the commercial!

Wouldnt he be contractd with Nike since he plays for us?

Gazza, VDS, Wes and Anderson are all sponsored by Adidas.

Carrick & Vida (Puma) Giggs (Reebok) The rest are Nike.

Dont think it works that way. Giggs has always been with Reebok I think

the Ronaldo allegation (that's all it is IMO) is tied to a Nike apparel and shoe range (CR7), and it would look strange if he were playing in an 'Adidas Club', since he wouldn't be wearing Nike gear on a regular basis except for Portugal, and that's part of the appeal.

it's likely bollocks, though it's been stated before that the major sticking point in his contract is the image rights. like Becks before him. make of that what you will.

Its all about what make boots you wear, not about what company makes your clubs strips.

Not quite you know... For example, the majority of the juniors will be provided with Nike boots as part of the deal, however for what ever reason they wish to wear another brand they can do. The deal with Nike will be to provide those players without individual contracts with other companies with boots as well as the training kits etc.

Ah rite, never knew that, surely you should get payed more for wearing the boots provided though?

Surely if it worked that way why aren't you surprised by Messi being in the advert? Nike make Barca's kit as well.
