Been a fair few of those around lately, no?

I think the best position for anderson is operating on the left of a midfield 3.

Dear Santa please let this be so in january, we have all been good and just want to see uncle alex allowed to use the ronaldo cash.

--------Vila-----Rooney
-----------Silva
Anderson--Fletcher--Hargreaves
Evra----Rio------Vidic---Fabio
------------VDS
Hasn't Silva turned down the chance to join United twice?

Peeps seem to have it in for Nani and are not convinced with Valencia but the problem is more central. Carrick and Anderson are just not good enough for United,
Embarrassing.

Just fuck off and support another club. Or, preferably, just start watching another sport, you clearly don't understand football.

Potential to do what? We didn't exactly buy this guy for peanuts and the potential argument wears a bit thin. He hasn't improved.
Like Tevez peeps like him for his work-rate but I don't see anything else in him.

He's 21, he's put on some good if not very good performances recently and has earned himself a place in the line ups. If you're not encouraged by that, I don't know.

Says it all when even Scholesy appreciated Anderson's performance against Chelsea.

He's physical, loves playing one-touch football, has good imagination with his passing along with brilliant weighting on his through balls, doesn't seem bothered by the pressure of playing for a huge team and appears to be confident in his own ability. This is all while playing in a position that he hadn't really played in before joining the club.

Be specific here, exactly what is is that you expect from a 21 year old midfielder? Where - and again, be specific - do you feel Anderson is falling short? Bear in mind, of course, that he's 21 years old and should be a vastly improved player in a couple of seasons.

Probably the potential to dominate against some of the world's top central midfielders - something which he's already shown himself to be capable of. He kept tabs on Fabregas brilliantly for his first game against Arsenal, shat on the Arsenal midfield in the FA Cup later on that year and then had a screamer against them over the course of the semi final last year. He's also dealt with the Liverpool midfield on two occasions, and stood out in a midfield battle at Stamford Bridge consisting of the likes of Fletcher, Essien, Ballack and Lampard. Your Tevez comparison is absolutely ridiculous when you consider Anderson's athleticism and vision against the likes of these.

The guy's a seriously good footballer, and if you can't spot this you're about as blind as Atkinson. He's not set the world alight on a consistent basis, but it's easy to see why so many of us gimps on here are so excited about him.
