Not Cole, Ruud did. His supply-line was taken away and his 'replacement' wasn't a crosser, he was a showpony until he learnt how to distribute the ball a few seasons after.

Ruud did have issues with Ronaldo and his distribution, they had a bust up in training then things went a bit pear shaped for Ruud. He was left out and sulked, so Fergie left him out of the cup final against Millwall and that was that, the rest is history.

Down The Cliff, just used to fuck off home without signing any autographs or anything, and once, not long after he'd signed (I was nearly fifteen), me and mates saw him in town walking up Market Street wearing one of them daft Kangol beret things a la Samuel L Jackson. We stared at him because he was Andy Cole, famous United player but he just glared back and stopped then went like that with his shoulders as if to indicate if we didn't look away he'd hit us or something. We just called him a dick and moved on while he stood there watching us walk away!!!
Agreed. You're not the first person I've heard complain of Cole's of the field ways towards fans.

Indeed. It's what gave him the Hoddle inspired "he needs 5 chances" reputation. Which tarnished his footballing rep badly and undeservingly.
