Valencia will be alright, he can play in the middle as well if he is not having success out wide. You can't beat them all.

So what, one game that he only got 30 minutes to play and hardly touched the ball isn't the end of the world. Some people here just expect too much. Even Ronaldo would of had a hardtime taking on both Malouda and c.ashley at the same time not to mention his support was O'shea who we all know he's not the best when it comes to an attacking full-back.

R you saying this after watching one Gif ? The one where to simply cross legged ashley to the floor ? I mean they both had a great game but Ronaldo certainly didn't get the better of Cole in his first two season.

Felt sorry for Ricketts, never seen a full-back get turned inside out so much.

It literally makes me feel all warm inside when I see classic wing play being executed like that. Absolutely wonderful today.

Antonio Valencia.... You sexy beast!

When he's in that mood the only thing a full back can do is bring plenty of lube. Valencia's gonna have his way with you whether you like it or not.

When he's in that kind of form he's just brilliant to watch.

Ricketts couldn't get near him.

Another excellent performance. Unlucky not to have a load of assists to his name. He really is unstoppable in that kind of form.

Great performance. Our main attacking threat today. Nani took too long with the ball but Valencia was always finding space to cross the ball. Lovely performance.

You ever been in a position where you know something bad is going to happen to you but you can't do anything about it? You just gotta sit there and suck salt as it happens. Yeah...that's what being a full back up against Antonio Valencia must be like. When that guy comes bulldozing at you at full pelt it must be petrifying. Its impossible to say how much I love watching it though. He's like Andrei Kanchelskis but bigger, stronger and dare I say it maybe even faster. Watching Tony V do his thing is like turning back the clock. Who said 4-4-2 had gone outta fashion? Classic wing play served up every weekend at Man Utd and don't we love it?! :P

Valencia is ahead of Nani at the moment imo. He has made the right wing his own.

Lets keep in mind this was against a full back who's started playing after 10 months out injured.

Fantastic performance today. Our team realised early on that he had the hex on Ricketts so we focussed our wing play down the right and it paid dividends. Some of his crosses were sensational.

I'm not sure, but I think he actually put in a very good cross with his left foot? Is that possible? Well who needs a left leg, when he plays like that, incredible performance.

He's putting together his best run of form since coming back from his injury. It's taken him a while, but goodness he's been fabulous recently.

Welcome back Antonio, you've been missed.

Ashley Young has a fight on his hands - at this point i'd say he's got a better chance of displacing nani than valencia...

was in beast mode today. Took on his man time and time again and drove in a few excellent crosses. My MOTM today!

that one play where he got the ball in the RB area and just drove the length of the pitch was brilliant

Right back on form again. When his confidence is this high, he drives at the left back at every possible opportunity. It's great to watch.

A machine i have been saying this to my mates he is the best winger in the league for consistency bar none imho. Nani can provide bits of trickery and magic out of nothing but over all Tony V's work rate, tracking back and persistent driving to the byline is relentless and breath taking at best (like today). Wouldn't swap him for anyone in prem league would be a scary sight having him and Bale on either wing!!

This is what I've been waiting for, we know he had it in him, bad injury last season but still I thought he didn't look sharp... But after a lot more game time, he's finally back to his best...

Let's hope he keeps it up, today he kept us ticking and was terrific... Imagine if Nani can find a bit of form too...
