He could get the most out of our players instead Fergie is good friends with Big Sam, I seriously wouldn't rule it out... I think he'd rather hold out for a managerial position somewhere though |

His reputation took a big hit after being fired by Newcastle. And I doubt that he would join a championship club after spending so long as a PL manager. Being assistant to Fergie one or two years might be what he needs to prove himself again and get another big job on his own. Just look at the job offers Carlos got during his time at OT.

also hes amways been known as a coach who is innovative, has very fit sides and gets the best out of players (especially some of the older players hes signed)... if he could help get an "indian summer" out of giggs and scholes for the next season or 2... the fact that he gets on with the manager is important... and i might be wrong anout this but didnt he have something in his contract with bolton that he could always leave if united had wanted him as manager??? i dont think its going to happen... but i wouldnt be dissapointed if it did |

I've nothing against Big Sam. He's a seasoned manager, with good eyes on tactics. Also, he's a good mate with Sir Alex I've heard. I'd be surprised, though, if he chooses to be a No.2. He's way too experienced for that.

Allardyce would be excellent.
Don't judge him over his Newcastle period, no manager gets enough time to build something there, they all fail. Don't forget that there woulden't be talk of a champions league winning United if Ferguson got fired in the late 80's... If they have the same patience at Newcastle they might come back to the top but if the board doesn't change their attitude they'll be fucked forever |

I am up this late, doing a notational time/motion analysis on Manchester United vs Wigan last year (at OT, 0-0 HT, 4-0 FT). Comparing the differences between the 2 halfs in runnings lengths, times, efforts, possession etc etc
Its a very long way of doing it. But with technology its instant, and incredibly accurate. I really do respect Sam Allardyce for trying this cutting edge technology, and I dont know why everyone has such a problem with him. Id welcome him as our number 2. Well, only if Cantona is busy. Im aware he is unqualified, inexperienced etc but, cummon, Cantona back? Hell yeah! Viva la king. |
